My daughter made a batch of Easter bunny buns as a trial run for Easter. This pic is from the website where she got the idea:

She also did a gluten-free batch for me with rice flour (tasted like tea biscuits!) so I had 4 of them with a big bowl of her homemade chicken soup.
Ah they look cute!!
We are having Lamb Shanks tonight.
What a lovely idea Annie Jack bless em, they look too good to eat.
Bubble and squeak today meat eater had chicken left from yesterday with his and I had an egg.
Tonight we are having pan fried sea bass with new potatoes and broccoli, simple but nice.
Oh yeah and have just eaten third pink grapefruit and they are as fandabbydozie as I remember
I love pink grapefruit! Think I’ll pick some up tomorrow… yum.
We had a stir-fry with tender beef and mushrooms over rice, and steamed broccoli on the side. I ate 2 more of the gluten-free Easter bunny buns as well and am now on my second cup of chamomile tea.
Lunchtime I will be having Vegetable Soup, Husband at work with his sardine sandwiches, tonight we are having Lambs Liver, Mash, Peas, fried onions & gravy.
I think I am going to do my cauliflower with a mint sauce glaze today, no one else eating here today husband is too worried to eat at the moment.
Aw the bunnies look so lovely.
We had lamb chops with a salad, i know not the weather for salad but i do enjoy it.
Sue darlin’ - I adore Grapefruit, but am not allowed it anymore - it interferes with my Warfarin, ditto Brocoli, (in fact all brassica veg is now a no, no.) Your Easter Bunny buns look absolutely fabulous. Can I borrow Sarah for a week or so to show me her cookery repetoire???![]()

Julie darlin’ - that’s disasterous!!! - can’t NOT eat!!! - I Never go more than four hours without at very least SOMETHING inside me, - I’d starve!!!
Shirly darlin’ - no - salad is rabbit food!!! - give me the rabbit instead and I’ll make a superb casserole with it!!!
Baked Beans on toast for lunch. Dtr Jennifer is home today and its her favourite.
Those Easter bunny buns look so yummy.
Enjoy lunch everyone.

I know it’s not good but after Thursday hopefully he should be feeling better, nerves have got the better of him at the moment must admit I am struggling too. When a first operation has gone wrong you really don’t look forward to surgery to put it right - if they can’t do it right first time confidence is lost.
Julie darlin’ - all the more reason to eat now, to build up strength prior to the surgery and to help fight off any possible infection too. Good luck to your OH on his surgery, hope this time it does go right for him.
I’m sure a day or so won’t do harm, kick start his diet again LOL
He has lost 2.5 stones so far, doing really well.
Even tho’ it’s now Autumn here the temp was 36c today so we had fried crumbed garlic chicken strips with greek salad and also a bit of pasta salad and beetroot, very nice it was too
IV just put a large pan of pea soup on to cook, made with real bacon ribs, and a french stick to dip up the remnants, so sod the weather, you cant beat a bit of comfort food when things look rough.
mmmm I pea and bacon soup, i’m on my way over. Susie xx
Turkey and Chorizo casserole.
