That’s ok then, first date days are over!
And it might repel jeheovah’s witnesses if we get any knocking!
I’d be interested to hear your thoughts after having it!
I had leek and potato soup lunchtime made by my OH. he’s cooking dinner now, no idea what though
Broiled crab cake, fresh spinach, potatoes rissole and the usual roll.
Yummy yummy yummy
Did you sense my presence before I got here?
The garlic was soft and sweet and we squeezed it out to dip the boiled potatoes in.
Today spicy roast chicken with baby new potatos and diced carrots, peas and broad beans-very nice too and my sister enjoyed it as well.
Broad beans are one of my favourites
Hadn’t had them for a while Mags and they are one of my favourites as well-really enjoy the taste of them
My SIL grew them on his allotment this year and he kept me supplied for a few weeks - I really missed them when the season came to an end:-(
Now that’s what you call fresh veg. -
I think your broad beans are what we call lima beans here … love them. But have never had fresh, you don’t see them in the markets. Or am I confusing them with fava beans?
These are our broad beans Eileen …

Hmmm, they do look a bit different from limas. The color’s the same, but not that sort of split/separation at the side.
Ah thanks, Mags; definitely not lima beans, their pod is flatter, not as rounded. I’m about to log off for dinner, will look up our beans afterwards.
Never heard of broad beans either. I was lazy and just had scrambled eggs and toast for dinner with some pineapple, it was good for a change.
Here’s a pic of limas: note they don’t have that split on the side.

When I feel lazy I like to have what I call “breakfast for dinner” … bacon, scrambled eggs and toast.
Aha! I think broad beans are fava beans! Here’s a pic. As you can see, I didn’t have much to do tonight so playing around with this … They have that split on the side.
