Made 3 gallons of Scotch broth last night, . . I’ll have a bowl or two of that with some Frenchie bread, . . . one problem though, . . . . . it gives me wind, . . . paaaarrp.
that should keep nurse crachett away.
I’m not going to cook, I keep a couple Stouffer’s Lean Cuisine in the freezer and although I don’t like frozen foods with all the sodium, I’m throwing caution to the wind. Anyway I love the way they make chichen and vegetables with pasta, the sauce is just delish:-)
That’s what I’ll be doing Joan, . . . hope nobody catches them.
Oh My Lord, I already have as many posts here that it took me 3 yrs to get on Dogsey and I haven’t been here a month yet.:shock: The years I was on Dogsey, I was very busy, so only stopped in once in awhile.
Cod with grain mustard sauce, mustard mash and leek ‘spaghetti’ tonight.
Lovely.
Sausage, mash and onion gravy!!
Can’t wait!
Thursday’s my other “no cook” day: bacon and cheese sandwich, crisps, sprouts and two mini spring rolls with wasabi.
Today I’m having one of your specials DM, . . . a Ciabatta bread roll and grated cheese, and some of them toms sliced up that I grew, . . . . . never tried Ciabatta before so it’ll be a new one for me.
Chicken curry with naan bread …looking forward to it!
Fresh trout, herby rice and peas
Not-Quite-Minestrone soup, salad and ciabatta roll.
Sausage and mushroom casserole here - sounds good on a murky day
It was very nice DM, so nice I’m having the same later.
I put a roast in the slow cooker this morning with onion, carrots and baby red potatoes with an onion sauce and made the scalloped potatoes with hash browns. Now I have to eat soon. Yogurt for dessert.
Usually Chinese on Saturday: steamed pork potstickers with regular and wasabi dipping sauces, miso soup, sweet corn.
Glad you liked the ciabatta, Nero!
Eileen, I remember the first time I tried wasabi, too much ooooweee:shock:
I’m just going up to have a bath and then bed, but had to ask - what is wasabi?
this is what I found.
It is the hottest of anything I have ever tasted. It is great with sushi.
Love, love love it!!! Technically it’s Japanese mostly for sushi or sashimi, but excellent with Chinese shiu mai dumplings or potstickers. It is HOT!

Yes, it’s green. This is the little tin of powder that you add water to to make the sauce.
Anyone who enjoys spicy ever tried kimchi, Korean hot pickled cabbage?
We had roast loin of pork with roast apple, roast onion, potatoes, steamed savoy cabbage and gravy and vanilla ice cream with fresh (well, fresh frozen) raspberries
Very nice
Just haveing a coffee and a chocolate and I guess a glass of wine will be taken before bedtime
