A glass of Merlot while listening to Classic FM.
Starting the barbecue. We have family today - ten of them! And it’s my sister’s birthday. She has been in hospital.
I love Mandelson’s violin concert in E-minor. Beautiful piece. especially the second movement.
I’m a bit more Baroque…I quite fancy myself in a powdered wig, satin knee britches, stockings and a pair of Grisport Ranger boots
And now a Meront. I think we have similar views.
Blimey! There are some posh eaters on here…
I just cooked fish and chips with beans…Mug of Yorkshire tea and a slice of warburtons farmhouse on the side…
I’ve just been very baaaad! There was a nice ginger Parkin cake in the cupboard and I’ve just eaten half of it…………
Right now, I’m drinking a pornstar martini -
… just to use up a passionfruit that had got crinkly ripe …
Yum yum yummy!
OGF I fully agree with “Blimey! There are some posh eaters on here…” was thinking same myself.
But pray tell what on Earth is “a slice of warburtons farmhouse on the side…” ??
Now had you said it was a hot blonde…
But a farmhouse ?
.
Sorry Old Bloke, it’s a bit of a Yorkshire thing…
It’s rate tasty…
Who are these posh eaters Foxy…and why?
Maybe there should be a posh thread for all things toffee nosed…for example, I prefer to say serviette, never napkin…gawd blimey!!!
Err, from the photo it appears that it may be some sort of bread or a fruit loaf thingy.?
I’ll opt for it being just a loaf of white bread ?
Looking at several postings by others here I had to check if I was really in the English speaking section
“ginger Parkin cake” I have absolutely NO idea what that is
Then there was a “pornstar martini”
Dammit I must be older than I thought I was.
Local jargon & expressions can be so confusing sometimes & Aussies are no exception either.
I’m going to have to buy a bigger dictionary,
.
Farmhouse bread. We eat that for lunch most days. This evening is to be delicious chicken - I’m just the consumer.
I just had a bowl of mixed summer fruits with custard on .
Raspberry Mist - naturally flavoured & sweetened water.
Just about to make a couple of fried egg sandwiches with a generous sprinkling of white pepper.
Now that’s what I call ‘Proper Nosh’…
Exactly… although it’s Hovis, fresh out of Warburton’s
cheese and onion sarnie
Raspberry Mist - made from reverse osmosis water, natural flavour and a touch of stevia
