Up The Garden Path

A good job takes time no need to rush…its looking great.

summer, the grass is Rolawn Medallion, I was looking for some seed for possible repair further down the line. A 1.5 kg box is £28.50, I realised that, if I had had the time (and no Dog) this would have been sufficient to seed the whole lawn instead of the potential £320.00, a lesson for the future.

Yes but look how nice it looks and its immediate too better than spreading seed that turns out to be lunch for the birds…I think you made the right decision with turf .

Must make sure I buy a sprinkler before the main lawn goes down, it takes 20 mins to water present patch which is doable without standing on it because of the surrounding blockwork, hate to think what would be involved on the other side which is 2.5 times bigger.

The amount of rain we’ve had in the S West over the last few days would have been ideal for you.

The last two days have been iffy here, but, I have not had to use the hose, this morning I put the first coat of levelling compound onto the office floor, will wait 6 hours, re prime, and apply a second coat.

Recommend a sprinkler hosepipe, especially if we have an Indian summer. Gotta keep that new turf happy.

Looking good. Wouldn’t have thought you need a second coat, but I guess it’s too much of a ballache to get a refund on the spare bag??

The first bag, left me slightly short, as predicted, not a problem as the floor is going to be tiled, but, as I have another bag, I have primed the new stuff, and the small amount of existing, so. will go for a 3mm uniform coverage.
Bought a New Cordless Mower, what a great machine, gave the new lawn its first cut, took three minutes, no cord to throw about, soon be hassle free.

Its just gone 7.00am, time to wazz up the second bag of levelling compound.

That’s better, one more coat of primer, before tiling.

Neat job. Well done on avoiding splashes up the wall!!

Sorry Path Fans, back to full speed work wise, looks like I may have to pay someone to finish it, still established the levels etc.

Wondered what had happened.

awww thats a shame… still lets see it when its all finished and we expect an office warming party … no expense spared

You are keeping us in suspense Spitty, it has been so interesting following your day to day project and I’ll miss it.

I am always hopeful that there will be a path post…

Ok, Ok, I will see it through, I will crack on tomorrow afternoon, when I have had enough of work.

Makes sense. You’ve come so far and there’s not a load left to do.

Yes Dex, seems such a shame, just bad (or good) timing, normality is very busy.
