Up The Garden Path

Given your current work ethic, it’s not exactly the biggest job. Probably spend more time washing your brush or roller afterwards than actually painting it on.

Change of plan, got another tonne and a half of topsoil coming 7.30am Monday, so a bit more turf striping to do. The topsoil will go a lot further now, only got to make up one inch instead of eight.

You seem lucky with the weather.

Agreed. Pouring down here.

Its very warm here, need about three more days of this, then when the big lawn is laid, it can pi55 down as much as it likes.

Just got back from work, done another 15 mins, will have this strip done for tomorrow night.

Was out at 8.00am turf stripping when the biters started, copt it on the forearm but, most unusually above my lip below my nose, it looked like a small cut and swole slightly.

After the encounter with the Horse Fly yesterday (lucky I had some Antihistamine Cream, and some Allacan Tablets) had to cover arms with long sleeves, this has made skimming hard warm work. I am about half way up the centre strip, so I will start barrowing the soil to this point, then work backwards with the levelling.

Here comes the soil, ready for rolling.

You are doing brilliantly. Loving your supervisor think mine would be happily digging what I levelled once my back was turned.

Well Kazz, the crunch will come when all the old grass is up and the new lawn on the other side is out of bounds, I will have to supervise her in her garden activities, wouldn’t like to encounter any surprises.

Timing for the Turf delivery will be of the essence.

It’s looking great Spitty…can’t wait for the turf : )

Just had to barrow in just over a tonne of soil through in the rain as it was threatening to cause a slick, half way down the street, that is hard work in one shot, started at 9.30am, finished at 11.20am, on the plus side, I won’t have to do it in stages as I strip the old lawn back.

Now the sun has come out.

Everything going good.

Started the rolling process, slightly low on the righthand side.

The Water Butt is full, hence the stain on the slab, must extend the downpipe into the drain now.

Got the Mushrooms, but that’s Ok according to the Turf Site.
Just bought a Cordless Mower, that should sort the buggers out.

Here are the little so and so’s.

Nice with bacon…in a sandwich

Looking good Spitty

The weather has been a hurdle this last few days summer, I was hoping to be done before work per se happened but, it was not to be.
