Unpopular opinions - an amnesty!

I used to feel the same way but Christmas tree farms create a large number of jobs for people who really need employment.

There were loads of Christmas tree farms where we used to live so we met some of the workers. Many of the workers have had the same job for years. It is a means of supporting their family.

When we moved here, we met the man who runs the local Christmas tree farm. A lovely man with a wife and family who has been doing this his entire life and loves it. He explained how the trees are planted and harvested just for this. His eyes light up as he talks about it.

I’m all for Christmas tree farms as well as supporting the people who run them. I personally hate fake Christmas trees. There’s nothing quite like the look and smell of a real one on that special day.

Clearly you are talking about moi :tipping_hand_woman:

I think the dreaded Bots have taken her and brain washed her, no other explanation is plausible.

Also…I think Foxy’s totally off his head (but I still love him)

I know. What is it about the old bugger that makes him so irrestisable? :102:

Unpopular opinions… Ok, this came to mind since its literally just happened to me.

Finders Keepers rule applies when it comes to finding loose money in the road.

Or in your garden. :innocent:

I suppose they’re thought of us a “crop”? It always makes me sad when the needles start dropping and you see them thrown out for the reycling. It’s almost like a sacrifice

I bet that’s only an unpopular opinion with the losers, not the finders

If you found money in your garden, it’s mine :pound:

I hate to kill any living thing ( it makes gardening difficult )
My dad would only buy Christmas trees with a root and he planted them out every year some grew enormous .

We have a scots pine that was once a christmas tree many years ago and she has been semi bonsaied by keeping her in a pot. She is still happily green and in the last 15 or so years has only grown around another 6" taller and somewhat bushier. Scotty seems thrive in the large pot so we keep her like that :+1:
EDIT for addendum. We call the pine a ‘her’ but the fact is ‘she’ is monoecious and should produce flowers of both sexes, but so far our Scotty has only produced the female purple type.

I prefer dogs and cats to people. I’ve yet to meet a person that remotely reaches the level of joy I feel in the company of animals.

Although a labour voter and supporter I love Ken Clarke

Sure cut flowers are beautiful, But why do they have to be SO costly!!! I always feel like, wow, with that $60 I could buy a new blouse that would last for years! :money_mouth_face:

Maybe squashed cushions are “butt ugly” but when you have a “bony” butt, they help keep you from having an ugly “bruised” butt. As to your Putin comment, :face_with_monocle:  :no_mouth: no comment.

No idea what it costs in your country, but going to watch a show for maybe 3 hours will cost around the same price as that bunch of flowers, and the latter will last longer.

Aw, I wouldn’t dream of telling people what to do with their “fun” money, we all love different things. Flowers are beautiful, I just don’t like watching them die

I support action against climate change, but I think Greta Thunberg needs a good hiding and sending to bed without any supper. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:
