It’s going to be 29 degrees in the Gatwick area tomorrow…at nine in the morning!
Ok, the worst is nearly over as far as the heat is concerned, there’s still very little rain on the horizon according to the BBC forecast, let’s hope things change sooner rather than later.

Still 33 C at 21:00 hours here in South Yorkshire…Walking outside feel like I left the oven door open…
!0pm and still 30c here with no sign of it reducing. The grass outside on the common is now completely brown with a high chance of a fire. I think I may stay awake tonight.
Made me smile just now when I re-read the title of Pixie’s thread - " Temperatures rise to 31.8.
If only they had stopped at that as a max, instead of the 41 forecast for here tomorrow.
27° here, a lovely cool breeze, but I’m not looking forward to tomorrow
My eyes glowed green then … I’m all overheated and icky. 
It got to 35c yesterday, its 24c now, I slept but don’t feel as if I did hey oh , cest la vie as they say.
Don’t forget that insulation works both ways, it keeps the heat out as well as stopping you get too cold.
Please put water out for birds and wildlife.
Well they reckon its hit 39c in surrey still a fair bit of the day to go, here in the sw we’ve got rain and thunder around .
27°C degrees here already…going to hit 29 - 30 later on.
The windows and blinds are battened down but it does make everything so very stuffy! 
Just heard from my son in Wales to say it is absolutely bucketing down there at the moment and the drains are overflowing!

At the rate I am melting today, Mags, if we get that rain I might just stand outside in the nuddy to enjoy it. 
Got fox and her two pups inside the summerhouse now, just sprawled out in the shade and in front of the fan. Few birds coming down to drink.
I put water out every morning at this time of the year, I feel sorry for all the little creatures in weather like this.
Not that I’m wishing for rain, since y’know Scotland and everything, but yes, I could do with some right now. None heading up here until Sunday apparently.
