Trump - The Long Goodbye

I can’t see him continuing. He would be shunned by the world.

Hi

The man is an idiot, not only is he destroying faith in the World’s most important Democracy he was wanting to launch a strike against Iran.

Such an idiot that he became the President of the USA.

Indeed … and it seems that being defeated in the election precipitated his “plan”:

Trump ‘considered striking Iran’s nuclear sites’ after election loss

Donald Trump asked top aides last week about the possibility of striking Iran’s nuclear facilities in the coming weeks, according to a New York Times report.

During a meeting at the Oval Office on Thursday, the outgoing US president asked several top aides, including the vice-president, Mike Pence, the secretary of state, Mike Pompeo, and the chairman of the joint chiefs, Gen Mark Milley, “whether he had options to take action against Iran’s main nuclear site in the coming weeks”, the newspaper says.

The senior officials “dissuaded the president from moving ahead with a military strike”, warning him that an attack could escalate into a broader conflict in the final weeks of his presidency, the Times writes.

WWIII could have been started by Trump’s imbecilic petulance … :103:

But it wasn’t was it…

Brian May late-night rambling.

“If you’re the kind of person who thinks Rock Stars should stick to guitar playing and not have opinions, please don’t bother to listen.”

Brian May is very much more than a musician though. To begin with he has a PhD awarded as an astrophysicist which is no mean feat in itself. He read maths and physics at Imperial College, and was awarded BSc (Hons), he’s also an accomplished author.

There’s a whole lot more to Brian May than just an “Axe Man” with Queen.

I quite like John Lydens political opinions too. Very clever man is John Lyden

I agree. More than that the relationship that he has with his wife can only be admired. I like the guy on that basis alone quite apart from many other reasons.

If it wasn’t for his wife they would be dead. They were booked on the Pan Am flight that blew up over Lockerbie but they missed the flight because his wife took so long packing.

Now that’s something I didn’t know. Sounds about right for a woman though.

True. He is also an animal lover, wildlife enthusiast, anti-hunt man, and does a lot to try and end the suffering and killing of so many badgers.
That makes him an ok guy to my mind.

He has a wife that just about fits into your female target demographic, age wise.

Does that smack of Idiot?

Pennsylvania court deals blow to Trump campaign’s bid to overturn Biden win

Supreme court justices ruled observers were not blocked from the counting and also reversed a decision allowing observers within 6ft.

Philadelphia election officials did not improperly block Donald Trump’s campaign from observing the counting of mail-in ballots, the Pennsylvania supreme court ruled on Tuesday, a major blow to the president’s already flailing legal efforts.

The decision is significant because one of the Trump campaign’s loudest claims since the election has been that they were improperly blocked from observing the counting of ballots in Philadelphia.

While campaign observers were always allowed to observe, the campaign alleged they were being kept too far from the counting – about 15-18ft – to make any meaningful observation. It secured a court order in the days after election day requiring Philadelphia officials to let observers within 6ft.

But the Pennsylvania supreme court reversed that decision on Tuesday, noting that Pennsylvania law gives Philadelphia election officials wide discretion to decide the rules around observers.

The decision came amid a separate hearing on Tuesday in a Pennsylvania federal court.

Rudy Giuliani, Trump’s personal lawyer, used the hearing to claim widespread voting fraud, but offered no evidence in the long-shot challenge. Lawyers for Pennsylvania rejected Giuliani’s fraud allegations and asked the US district judge hearing the case, Matthew Brann, to throw out Trump’s lawsuit.

While a ruling has not yet been issued, a loss in the case would likely doom Trump’s already-remote prospects of altering the election’s outcome.

Another one bites the dust … :023:

Half of Republicans say Biden won because of a ‘rigged’ election”

“Altogether, 55% of adults in the United States said they believed the Nov. 3 presidential election was “legitimate and accurate,” which is down 7 points from a similar poll that ran shortly after the 2016 election.”

You’re counting your chickens again …

In a matter of hours on Thursday, Trump’s allies were dealt legal setbacks in Georgia, Arizona and Pennsylvania.

Republicans lost their final lawsuit in Georgia as a court rejected their effort to block the results’ certification, which is due to happen on Friday. The judge who dismissed the case was appointed by Mr Trump last year.

In Arizona, a judge rejected a lawsuit filed last week by the state Republican Party seeking a new audit of ballots in Maricopa County, home to Phoenix - the state capital and largest city.

In Pennsylvania, the Trump campaign lost their bid in state court to throw out more than 2,000 postal ballots.

I’d call that part of “a losing streak” * rather than “a viable path to victory” …

  • The Trump campaign has lost 30 out of the 31 lawsuits it has filed since election day …

The law suits filed so far by his team amount to 3.

I suggest you watch and pay attention to the opening statement I posted yesterday. You might actually learn something and understand what the Trump campaigns arguments are, instead of sticking your fingers in your ears and denying any of this is going on.

Just bear in mind, “if” this is going to be proven in the courts (which so far I think it has a chance of doing), at some point the media will have to decide on which point they do their job and report what is going on, or stay as part of the overall deception, fraud and collusion. How long will you go along with it on your own, after everyone else is pointing the fingers ?

Federal judge dismisses Trump campaign Pennsylvania lawsuit

https://edition.cnn.com/2020/11/21/politics/federal-judge-dismisses-trump-pennsylvania-lawsuit/index.html

A federal judge dealt a death blow to the Trump campaign’s effort to overturn President-elect Joe Biden’s win of the presidency on Saturday, by dismissing a closely watched lawsuit that sought to invalidate millions of Pennsylvania votes.

It is not in the power of this Court to violate the Constitution,” Judge Matthew Brann of the US District Court in the Middle District of Pennsylvania wrote on Saturday in a withering decision, hours after the final round of filings in the case came in. The judge wholeheartedly rejected the Trump campaign’s attempt to throw out the Pennsylvania vote, noting that Biden has won the state and results will be certified by state officials on Monday. Biden has a margin of more than 81,000 votes in the state.

This was essentially the last major case seeking to throw out or block enough votes that could swing a key state in Trump’s favor.

The last one bites the dust …
