Tonight's Corrie

There are exciting happenings in the Street next week, folks! Don’t miss it!

Oooh, you tease!! better check it out on digital spy :)

I won’t spoil it for anyone

Alex Bain is a brilliant little actor and he’s probably the Street’s youngest “baddy” if I can call him that tenuously.

I dunno about kids today because I’ve never had any, but when I was 5, 8 or 11, I didn’t dare answer my parents back. Their word was law.

In a way I do feel sorry for him because he lost his real mum when he was little and looks upon Leanne as his mum. It’s a pity Leanne couldn’t fight for custody of him, but she’d have no chance. The kid would be happier though. :frowning:

Sorry Marian, I know you mentioned this in the Who Killed Frank topic, but I think it was so beautiful tonight with Dennis asking Rita to marry her. I had tears in me eyes.

I should have put it in here shouldn’t I:-D

Yes it was a lovely moment and to be perfectly honest I’d never really seen these two as an item, just friends really. Poor Rita was heartbroken. I wonder if it will all end happy ever after in soapland  Norris wasn’t happy about it was he.

What do you reckon to Lewis now that he’s been back a while? I really thought he’d made the whole court case up but he’s been seen doing community service. I still think he’s up to something

I really do hope that Rita and Dennis will be happy.

I think secretly Norris holds a candle for Rita but she wouldn’t have anything to do with a silly old sod like him, but he does care about her.

Lewis? No, I’d like to think he was back on the straight and narrow, but once a conman … We’ll see.

I like the match too, who’d have thought that Dennis Tanner and Rita ‘Fairclough’ would hitch up?

It has been said that Lloyd is returning to the Corrie set this month after a break of three months so that he could film a new series of cult sci-fi show Red Dwarf.

I like Lloyd, he has always been unlucky in love so I hope that one day he will soon find Miss Right!

Oh, I’d love to see Lloyd return. I liked him very much indeed in Corrie.

As regards Rita and Dennis (not that it matters) but isn’t Rita several years older than Dennis? As I said, it doesn’t matter, and as long as they make each other happy, that’s all that does matter.

It’s about time Traaaacy-luv was removed from the cobbles, and that Beth and her pig of a son were kicked out as well. Horrid characters. :frowning:

I hadn’t realised Lloyd had been gone so long. I like him as well.

Mollie that’s what I was thinking about the age gap between Rita and Dennis, so she’s landed herself a toy boy and isn’t she loaded? :) I hope he makes her very happy.

I wish Tracy would go as well.

Rita is 80, which I find amazing as she certainly doesn’t look it … and Dennis will be 70 next month, so I don’t think the age gap is too bad. Look beyond the wrinkles and he still has a boyish look about him

What will be strange, to me anyway, is thinking of Rita as Mrs Rita Tanner! It doesn’t have the same ‘ring’ as Fairclough or Sullivan!

After all the hoo-haa about Frank’s mother, I’m wondering how Sally will fair.

The doctor said tonight that she may be bleeding internally in her head, but surely an immediate MRI scan would determine that, and check for a bleed to the brain? If that be the case, then they should be operating immediately to eliminate the possibility of paralysis?

I watches Holby City and Casualty as well tha’ knows! ;-)

I reckon she’ll be fine

i think she will be bouncing back very soon, they won’t get rid of Sal:-)

Of course she’ll be fine, but they’re very poor in following up the medical side of things in Corrie.

Maybe thats because it isnt a medical programme!

No, but they get their facts right about other things because they research them first.

The doctor in tonight’s episode mentioned that Sally did have a scan yesterday…

To be fair, she had a scan and the decision was made to wait and see if she needed surgery. In this situation the medic has to weigh up the relative risks of serious invasive surgery vs waiting to see if the body’s clotting system sorts out the problem. Obviously she didn’t have a catastrophic bleed, so surgery wasn’t needed. Mind you, Corrie don’t often seem to get medical things right!
