If l hear someone say, ‘To be honest’, again…l will scream my head off!
I’m fed up of hearing it… to be honest! :laughing:

To be honest, I can’t really see why it upsets you, Art. :rofl:

It’s the word ‘Basically’ at the start of every sentence that bugs me. It is so overused. :

I say “ to be honest” quite a lot and will continue to do so.

I can’t see anything wrong with people saying that what so ever. It also doesn’t bother me if it makes you Grrrr, that’s your opinion, which you can voice.

Mups, lt’s because lots of people seem to say it after a sentence… like they are programmed with the current buzzwords/phrases.

Some use it when it isn’t even necessary!

It’ irritates the hell out of me when someone over uses the word “like” as every other word.

So…obviously, to be honest, I’m thinking along the lines of not saying anything really, because y’know, in all honesty, obviously, some people are easily offended, but still…like y’know…

I think that we’re so used to people lying that we need them to say “To Be Honest” so that we’ll know that they are being truthful, for once!

I see it as a misused statement. If you start a sentence with “To be honest” does this mean when you don’t you’re sus? :man_shrugging: :man_shrugging:

These days in a world full of white lies and with people wanting to please everyone, “tbh” might have some justification if the person really means it.
