I’ve never heard that one. It sounds a bit ambiguous to me. To love someone to the Moon does suggest much affection, but the “and back” part could imply a change of mind. ![]()
I totally agree…
To be honest, I ain’t bothered, I do pick up on words like, do you know what I mean…I was terrible at one time saying that, then my son pointed it out to me.
Now, it’s “ To be honest”…

To be honest, I did point a constant word that a lady kept saying on her YouTube channel…nearly every word was “ anyway”… I even told her how many times she said it on her channel…so funny,

People and businesses often call attention to what they aren’t
.
Honestly, what a load of hoohar over very little ![]()
To be honest, I think it’s just a bit of fun…this is another few words I’ve managed to keep saying, “ now where was I”…

It’s not as bad as ‘to be fair ‘ - after which you just know they are going to say something unfair .
When someone says ‘Don’t take this personally …’ you just know that means the opposite!
My son often says to me, Mum, you know I don’t mean it…then why say it,

I hate it when people say thinks like "Does that make sense? after they speak about something. Well yes, if it didn’t I would ask you to repeat it or clarify
I have been known to use that phrase occasionally too
I don’t usually ask that question after I have spoken, because I already know the probable answer. ![]()
You are very sensible though
Fun innit!
Only until I open my mouth. ![]()
My favourite cousin says it all the time
“…To be honest with you, Mary ……”
To be honest, I find it quite endearing and presume the cheeky little so and so is telling me he’s not usually honest with me! No surprise there….
Ooops I.m a 'to be fair offender. To be fair I darent open me gob anymore
