Threw my back out on Saturday

Took me a full 5 minutes to get out of bed this morning.
Awful back pain when dressing, walking, even sitting.
Made an appointment for a Chiropractor this morning. Awaiting phone call to see if a spot is available.

Aw, that’s one of the worst injuries you can have, @Bretrick!
Pamper yourself, move slowly, and do what you can until that appointment!
Hope your pains ease soon. :unamused:

We do not know what back pain is like until it afflicts us.
No position is comfortable.
I hope some good will come of the visit. Thinking I may need multiple treatments.

Poor you, I did much the same during lockdown. Luckily the Chiropractors were still able to work so I got an emergency appointment. I stayed on maintenance with them and I go every other month now, glad I do as there’s often niggles in my back and neck that he works out for me.
Hope you get sorted soon, in the meantime I found a hot water bottle in the small of my back helped a lot.

Bretrick,
How has your back been since seeing the chiropractor?

Update about my back for all those following this post.
Bulging disc has gone back into place. I had 6 chiro sessions which managed to get me back on my feet.
Taking life rather slower than previously.
I have been back at work for a week operating a plasma cutting machine so no lifting required by me.
My offsiders do all the heavy lifting.

The Kinetic 2500 CNC Plasma Cutter

Doctor viewed my x-ray and had me go for blood tests.
They came back with full blown type 2 diabetes. No more sugar for me.
Very high Cholesterol levels.
This morning I awoke and my eye sight was blurry, things are out of focus. Yesterday eyesight was not blurry.
Made a appointment for an eye test.
So happy times ahead for me. :slightly_smiling_face:

Glad you went to a Chiro, it’s the only way for me. You certainly seem to be going through a rough patch the now.

Life throws obstacles in front of use. Our task is to navigate those obstacles so we come out the other end none the worse for wear.
At least, not too scarred. :slightly_smiling_face:

Brilliant Machine Bretrick…
Sorry to hear about your diagnosis, but do some research before you consider not eating any sugar. I don’t think it’s as simple as that and can be dangerous to just stop eating things.

I think not eating sugar will do more good than harm :grinning:

With my glucose level being 3 times higher than it should be I need to initially get it down to the safe level. So for now, out with the high sugar food stuff.

So if you hadn’t hurt your back you wouldn’t have known about the diabetes?
