Threw my back out on Saturday

That is correct. I would have gone on unaware of the issue until it had progressed so far that I may have been left with heart/kidney disease. Major eye problems and the rest.

Yes of course Mr Smith, knock off the white stuff, but bodies need carbs.
The diabetic association (you’ll probably have one where you live Bretrick) produce some excellent diets with just the right amount of nourishment. Mrs Fox has been following one even though she’s not diabetic. By introducing exercise, good eating practices and losing some weight (if you are overweight) can actually reverse the diabetes.

Get well soon.

Thank you. Back is better than it was,
Diabetes is going to take a little longer :slightly_smiling_face:

Unfortunate to have that all happening. A consistent exercise program will take you very far in managing diabetes. I totally agree in not eating refined white sugar - it’s everywhere. Our bodies are not designed to eat it.

I have started on the road to recovery. No sugar, reduced fat, mild exercise

Bulging disc has reared its head again.
February 2024. A wrong move saw me with a bulging disc.
6 trips to the chiropractor saw me able to walk mostly with lessened pain.
Happened again today.
Not as bad as the first time but still very painful moving.
Happened alongside my bed so was able to slowly lower myself onto bed.
I am hoping it does not last too long. All I have done so far is apply Deep Heat and taken Aspro clear.
See what I am like in the morning.

Good luck and plenty of rest Bretrick, anything to do with back’s can be so painful and debilitating.
Have a look on youtube for some gentle stretching exercises when it calms down…

Oh you have my sympathy … tricky thing backs. I did mine 20 years ago and every now and then it gets tweaked and reminds me to take it easy.
Rest… and good advice off Foxy.

Today will be a day in bed. As little movement as possible.

Pain is much less than yesterday.
Slept okay with very little movement. Most of the night was spent on my back.
Taking 3 x Aspro Clear plus penetrating Deep Heat.
I can walk around - with extreme care - still getting spasms which hurt like the bejesus.
Slow and gentle.

If it’s a slipped disc you might need some therapy Bretrick.
There was an osteopath here, supposed to be good…I took Mrs B (Mrs Fox’s Mum) and she walked in stooping bably and having to walk with a stick…She walked out an hour later stood completely upright and without the need for her stick…
She said it was the best 25 quid she had ever spent…

Sounds like you’re actually doing okay if you’ve managed to get up and about , no matter how tiny your steps.
Stiffening up if you’re not careful, can be as bad as the initial spasm and pain.

Just don’t overdo it.

The pain was exactly the same as the bulging disc I had in Jan last year.
As each hour passes, the pain is reducing.

Today I am virtually pain free.
4 days of Deep Heat cream and anti-inflammatory medication sees me back to where I was before Thursday.
