I don’t mind anything that makes me go the speed limit, since I’m not a speeder. But those speed bumps in streets make me go 15 mph over them when the speed limit is 30.
Until give or take 4 years ago Solaris slingshots were all over the place , I loved them and several in area I live in , interestingly enough owned by older people .
As you know you can not have speed bumps with those so all the bumps were removed before I moved here , a few kit cars also and a corvette owner .
Solaris slingshots have sadly pretty much disappeared .
I think you have to know someone for a bit before deciding how nice there are.First impressions can be deceptive.
I stopped trusting their info about Covid vaccines when they started forcing people to get them, or you couldn’t travel, dine in restaurants or keep your job. But the real kicker was the lies about “So many Covid deaths, they brought refrigerated meat trucks in hospital parking lots to store the bodies.” (my favorite one)
And “Crowded hospital waiting rooms & hospital hallways lined with gurneys with Covid victims gasping for breath.”
During that time, I drove several friends to four hospitals for minor surgery & my sister when she sprained her ankle. There were three people in the wating room, several doctors chatting with nurses, no gurneys in hallways. And not a single meat truck in sight.
I asked a doctor, "Where are all the Covid victims the news reported? He just chuckled.
The politicians demanded everyone to be six feet from each other (6 feet magic distance)…while they stood shoulder to shoulder. And basketball & football games went on as scheduled. And movie production also went on - with catering. Obviously no “Social Distancing.” Restaurants were forced to close & many went out of business - while politicians were videotaped dining out. And this gem from Phony Anthony Fauci himself - attending a baseball game with friends - unmasked, while he demanded everyone wear masks.
Supermarkets had those silly plastic shields between customers & cashiers. There was a big round hole in the shield where you could pass your money to the cashier. I had a great time making everyone LOL while checking out at Ralph’s market. I put my whole hand through the hole & said, “Good thing you have this shield here; no virus would dare go through this hole.”
Equally hilarious: As you walked into a crowded restaurant, you had to wear a mask. After you were seated at your booth (inches from people at the next booth) you could remove your mask. And, of course you removed your mask to eat. So…Covid is the only considerate virus that won’t infect you while you’re eating.
Well, ya know that old saying about “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.”
BTW, How do you like Fauci’s mask?
Agree . I was disliked first 2 years I lived here and now only seriously hated .
Lol I’m kidding but I was disliked and now though no Celebrity , everyone waives , chats , says hello .
I was contacted by assistant to Mayor to be part of a Veterans float tomorrow and at city meetings I let them have it , especially police .
Tomorrow we do get hit with a freak cold snap think mid 50’s here and that is freezing for this time of year so perhaps they want me to get an pneumonia , lol but I will be there.
I have no problem with people who chose to get vaccinated, UNTIL they insult me because I choose not to. That’s when my gloves come off. We all have the right to make our own health decisions. I even drove some of my elderly friends to get their Covid vaccines. They all knew my choice & they respected my choice just as I respected theirs.
Lol yes and as you know took forever just to buy a few items .
The entire thing was a nightmare .
A lot of superstitious people in my area and at night out of boredom I would walk around and about 70 percent of the houses had candles in like glass jars with some type saint burning on their porches , think to ward off the virus .
It was interesting for me .
Most important for those old folks, did you have the windows open, just incase?
One would not know if one was a carrier.
I could never understand why people who were vaccinated took the high moral ground and banned unvaxed people from their lives. Had they no confidence in the vaccinations?
By their thinking, the silver bullet would protect them from covid and the unvaxed would die a horrible death.
Surely, it should be the unvaxed who avoided the vaxxed…The vaxxed could walk around with covid, exhibiting no symptoms due to the vaccines, but if an unvaxed person caught covid they would not be fit enough to leave their beds and less likely to be outside passing it on… ![]()
The more the establishment and the vaxxed forced the vaccines on me, the less likely it was that I would have it…Another one of the establishments big cons.
and strange that nobody in the UK caught flu that winter…
I wore that surgical mask even in my own house and I live by myself .
lol I’m kidding but I did tell people in my area who were against the mask that but I wore it when in lines and in every business but I wore it under my nose when walked around at night as was to hot for that .
Exactly. Just as with flu shots, when someone is rude to the unvaxxed, they are showing how little confidence they have in the vaccine. If they had confidence in their decision, they wouldn’t feel threatened by others’ decisions.
Is that pic real or fake as countless fake pics out ?
All this silliness has to stop
, if everyone wore masks through the Flu season, there would be no need for vaccinations, and all the unnecessary chitter chatter has to stop.
I am not a Scientist but think it affected some groups more then others because in some countries the deaths were staggering .
‘‘Brazil on Thursday became the second country to pass 400,000 COVID-19 deaths after the United States, and experts warned the daily toll could remain high for several months due to slow vaccinations and loosening social restrictions.’’
Maybe because they didn’t wear a mask and get vaxxed…

Everyone’s sniffling all year round, how do you attribute that?
Not eating enough Black pudding
My point is I found COVID to be very real and a killer but I know people here NOT vaccinated and no problem so perhaps affects some groups more then others .
I think it escaped by accident via the Wuhan lab , the intel in every country knows it but no one is saying anything .
I never thought Covid was fake. I thought hospitalization & mortality rates were exaggerated to create maximum fear to sell vaccines. The flu is also serious - for some; not for everyone.
An interesting read about science & statistics:

In many countries, yes, this is how they calculate the statistics that are used by medical agencies to track the Covid-19 pandemic. (It is, of course, not what actually goes on the death certificates.)
The reason is that this is simple and fast. They know that this means that some cases are reported as Covid-19 when they actually aren’t, and that also some cases that actually are due to Covid-19 don’t get reported as such. But for the purposes of tracking the pandemic in real time, this is accurate enough. Better statistics, with the actual reason of death, is collected later.
You can compare it to being a general. You can have data on the location of the enemy that’s accurate to within two feet, and two weeks old, or data that’s accurate to within half a mile, and fifteen minutes old. For most purposes, the second set is what you’ll want.
It might surprise you, but a lot of science is like that. The data is inaccurate, and everyone knows that—but it can still be extremely useful, and produce good results, provided you know just how inaccurate it is. Most scientists spend more time figuring out exactly by how much their measurements were off, than they spend making the measurements in the first place.
