I did read somewhere that VP Vance was against the war with Iran in the first place perhaps his cooler head will prevail?
I have read the same. I’ve always felt going into Trump’s 2nd term he had a “shelf life” (health/ Epstein/ legal issues), and J.D Vance was MAGA’s “man in place” to replace Trump, though Vance would never have been Trump’s choice.
Gosh what a mess this is! It’s astonishing that one man can create such chaos and misery.

I’m not seeing the pressure or incentive on republicans to about turn and start criticising this war, and therefore be criticising their president. Certainly there is a bit of a groundswell against this unwinnable war from commentators - but its not a MAGA wide defection. It is grumbling. In addition, there has not been any critical event to give such republican members a reason / justification to change their views.
Of course, without a break through of some form this world crippling stalemate / war will continue and therefore will continue to break many countries economies. The US needs to wake up to the damage it is doing around the world, even if the US itself is buffered against this by its own oil reserves. This is long term damage that other countries will not be forgiving to the US about.

I disagree, we live in a Democracy, we can vote them out.
That is the correct way to do things.

There is most likely a lot of twisted hate anger people in the western states. Colorado, Washington, Cal. maybe even Arizona, Navada and Idaho. + more, most likely 1000’s of them mostly insane haters. I remember Oswald and Jack Ruby taking him out before he could shoot his mouth off. Then there was Sirhan Sirhan, a Palestinian that assassinated RFK. Shit happens. Charlie didn’t deserve his fate either nor the Ai music after. Speaking what one feels is right can put one at risk! I am sure the Donald turned and looked at the shooter and got nicked in the ear.
This reminds me of that film, I forget the name … was it the Dirty Dozen? … Anyway, they had a clear shot at Hitler but didn’t take it as they said they didn’t know who would replace him. A sort of logic I suppose.

The news is reporting very excited demonstrations going on in Iran, millions in the streets. Is it good or bad press. Think the armed guy at the dinner was Islamic. He acted as a highly educated tutor. It warns me that he should have been deported back to Pakistan. Another Donald screw up.

Iran is winning this big time.
OPEC is the cartel which fixes oil prices, run by Saudi Arabia, in league with the USA.
The UAE has left it, gone on their own.
The most well known part of the UAE, the United Arab Emirates, is Dubai.
They want to do a deal with Iran.
At least the British Ambassador spoke the truth, the only nation a with a special relationship with the USA is Israel.
Never mind, I am sure King Charlie of Australia will sort it all out.

Actually I think the King’s speech writers did ok.
Reminded Trump of what help NATO had given the USA in the past and that when the USA gave it’s word it used to mean something.
