I don’t think that is the way to determine who has unreasonable influence over Trump. A better way would be to follow the likely photographic evidence that would reveal just how much Trump played with Epstein. Or to consider who benefits from the things Trump does. But money? And Davos? Wrong tree.

Just a reminder, Nazi Don does not care about Israel, Iran, or any country for that matter, he cares about profit, that’s it. Nazi Don and his Fascist Oligarchs are reaping billions in profit, especially oil and arms production. I’m just suprised that China and Russia have stood idly by (of course Russia has it’s hands full with Ukraine), and were it not in his best interests (arms to Ukraine), Nazi Don would have abandoned Ukraine months ago.
I agree, Trump does not want to lose his White Christian Nationalist support, especially in a country where over 60% identify as Christians. As for Corporate America, as long as they are reaping in billions in profits (which they pay little to no taxes on) they are content.

My understanding of this mess is quite different to that of other posters, I start from a different set of views.
Iran is huge, with a large population, and it is not an Arab Country.
Only 2% of the population are Arabs, 61% are Persian, 20% are Azeri,and 16% are Kurds.
They think and plan long term, far more like the Chinese than the Arabs.
They are very resilient determined and can take a lot of punishment.
They fight differently Trump has killed their Political and Military Leadership , destroyed much of their military capability, in particular their Navy and Airforce,
Common estimate, they still have more than half their missiles and drones.
The Russians also gave them some time ago a single supercavitation torpedo
Very short range but incredibly fast, around 200 mph, unstoppable, which they reverse engineered, they don’t need submarines or surface craft to launch it, they can use it from tunnels or subsea small launchers.
The Iranians call it the Hoot.’ very effective at closing the Straits.
I honestly do not believe that the Iranians can reach the UK or USA with ballistic missiles at the present time and they are many years away from producing an atomic bomb.
Enriching Uranium is not that difficult, just expensive.
Building an Atomic Bomb is an entirely difficult matter, it will take them years even if they have a full set of instructions.
What Iran can do however is build lots of small dirty bombs, just a missile or drone with a normal explosive surrounded by radioactive material which will cause panic by contaminating a power plant, a water plant, a office block or airport.
The panic effect will be devastating.
They will not attack Israel with these things, the Israelis are well prepared to deal with them ,
The oil producing Arab States with USA Bases are not.
The Houthis could also close the Red Sea leading to the Suez Canal.
This is not a load of rubbish from an armchair warrior.
It is a War Scenario which has been studied for years.
The outcome is not good for the West and Trump has walked right into it.
Iran is not Venezuela, it is an entirely different animal.
An animal which hates the West with a vengeance, and with good cause.
When Saddam was our friend we had the Iraq/Iran War.
The West let Saddam use Chemical Weapons against Iranian Civilians, leaving well over 100,000 Casualties.
When Saddam was not our friend, the West invaded Iraq because he had weapons of Mass Destruction.
Not something they forget.
They are also seriously annoyed about 9/11.
Nothing to do with Iran at all.
Planned, paid for and carried out by Saudi Arabia.
No retaliation from the USA at all.

I am not entirely sure about that.
Trump has changed things so much that the world order has to change.
The changes will surely affect the UK, in spite of Starmers posturing, we are no longer influential, we are just a minor 3rd rate island off te coast of the EU.

Interesting … Iran says the Straits of Homuz are open for the duration of the ceasefire.
Two iffy things sound doubtful.
Trump says Iran has agreed never to close the Strait again.
And Trump says the US have prohibited Israel from bombing Lebanon.
Interesting times ahead, methinks.
But how long will it take to undo the damage Trump has done ? … Should we ever trust the US again ?
