Religion and believe have been a very useful motivator - see Hesgeth’s use of christian nationalism to underpin the “righteousness” of the war on Iran (taking us back on topic!).
Because a large portion of the world’s population has some form of belief in a “God/ Creator”, and nobody wants to defy the “will of God”. Though I will have to add, religion is a very big part of this conflict, Ms. AnnieS and my conversations were not “off topic”
Funny how the will of god is always articulated by a man. You’d think god would have found a more reliable vehicle to promote his ideas and preferences. I mean, Pete Hegseth for heaven’s (irony intended) sake.
…and that has always been my point, the “will of God” has always been subjective, to the individual /s making the claim.

You said rid the world of religion will rid the world of hatemongers.
My view is that you don’t need religion to subjugate a population. While religion has been used to subjugate it has also been used to motivate populations to emancipate. Communism has been used in the same way and is not a religion. The latest form of control is social media. Propaganda and oppression are just human traits and they often hide behind ideologies.
Unfortunately it is undoubtedly for the same reason as the rest of the world has arrived at that conclusion at the moment.

The chief component has always been man (species), and how he uses the concept. Religious extremist are normally indoctrinated and intolerant of those with differing belief concepts. As I have said, time and again, it is the human component and what they choose to do with it. What has been occurring more and more in recent decades (actually centuries )are clashes between religious ideology, and is exemplified by what is currently happening in the Middle East, Israel (Zionism) / Iran (Islam) / The USA (extremist Christian White Nationalists), and the irony of it all, Christianity and Islam are both direct offsprings of Zionism. We can do this over and over Ms. AnnieS, but the main issue is now, always will be, the greed of man (species), he does not conform to ideology, he conforms ideology to him.
This seems to be more an issue of group identity than anything else. It’s human nature to form distinct groups and to compete against other groups. That is why we have been warring with each other since our time here began. You can blame it on formal frameworks of beliefs, but I see it more as the fable of the scorpion and frog. The psychological community is forever divided about nature vs nurture.
Human nature won’t change whether religion exists or not. People will just find another thing to worship/believe and those who are manipulative and seek control will find another channel to use.
So clueless that he is worth 6.5 Billion Dollars, regardless of source.
Fairly obvious from recent postings.
At least you own what you say, good job Davey boy, or should I say Nazi Don bootlicker!

Many users share the sentiment that MSN has declined in quality, frequently describing it as a “trashy tabloid” or “clickbait” in online discussions. In 2020, Microsoft shifted to an algorithmically driven, personalised feed, replacing a team of human editors Users often report sensationalist, inaccurate, or low-quality content, including misinformation. The feed is often perceived as cluttered and irrelevant . The comment sections on MSN articles are often criticised as being toxic, racist, or filled with misinformation.
Explains why a majority voted for him twice then.
This conversation could continue in circles indefinitely, but the problem is / always has been, humans and their greed. Human invented ideology (religion/ politics) has always been but a means to exploit the masses. Does it mean all people are evil , no, but the potential to be is always there, and in the name of one’s self interest, usually wins out. We’ve continuously gone over this since yesterday, you have your opinion/ I have mine, there appears (between you and I) no happy medium, goodday on this subject Ms. AnnieS, it’s been a pleasure.
