I wonder if this war will lead to nuclear proliferation. Some countries might notice that the USA only attacks countries without nuclear weapons (Venezuela, Iran) but not countries like North Korea or Pakistan. They might get the idea that it is safer to have a nuclear deterrent.
The USA is no longer the “good guy”, the world’s peace keeper, perhaps because of that they have lost their credibility? It probably started with Obama when he told the Syrian President not to use chemical weapons otherwise he would come after him, they did use chemical weapons and the USA did nothing but it has accelerated with Trumps Presidency. I suspect that is why Russia decided it could get away with invading Ukraine and, certainly nothing Trumps has done or said changes that view.
Now the world’s markets are wondering if the US debts will ever be repaid, after reckless spending by previous Presidents now the tariffs, the Iran adventure and TACO. It looks like the US dollar is sliding away from being the world’s reserve currency because of ABUSA ( invest anywhere but the USA), it hasn’t happened yet but is moving slowly in that direction because of Trump’s erratic behaviour.
It will be a difficult time for the world but could be a worse one for US citizens in the long term if the USA can’t service it debt.

Iran is nowhere near being able to make a Nuclear Weapon and Trump knows that, he bragged that he had destroyed their equipment to do so the last time he bombed them.
The science behind making an atomic bomb is very simple, A Level stuff.
You get two lumps of refined uranium and smash them together using conventional explosives to make one lump of uranium above the critical mass causing it to explode.
The reality in doing this involves vast expensive and knowledge of stopping it exploding when you are making it and literally many thousands of machines to do so.
There is a much simpler and far more effective way of causing chaos using radioactive materials .
That is making a “dirty bomb”, a Radiological Dispersive Device.
A simple, ordinary explosive surrounded by radioactive material, stuffing it into a drone or missile ad firing it over the target.
It doesn’t matter if it is shot down as long as it is shot down over enemy territory.
Even better if it is in a cluster bomb on a ballistic missile.
Miles of contaminated buildings and land, mass panic lasting years.
Hit the oilfields, refineries, desalination plants,m ports, airports, cities and tourism.
Trump is threatening to destroy Iran.
They have absolute nothing to lose by destroying the Gulf and Western Economies.

A few things here! AnnisS says the US should stay out of other countries business. So which one is it? Stay out of other countries business or not? And putting America first doesn’t include other countries like treaties with other countries.
What has any country done with out US involvement. For example what has any country done to get Russia out of Ukraine. The answer is absolutely nothing. The citizens may not comprehend their capabilities but their governments do.
Was listening to some conferences. The US was involved, but they were talking about get the European countries, Canada, Australia and I think Japan and South Korea. Not sure if those two were there. They openly admitted that they could not succeed in anything, economically, financially and militarily without the United States of America help in EVERYTHING.
All those countries couldn’t even compare to just a few of our state.

What a nightmare. Just read “What if”, in the Mail by Jake Simons. In short the UK is totally defenceless to Irans Khorramisher-4 ballistic missiles which can carry 17 warheads and reach us in 8 minutes, which they have. Totall carnage would hit the country and the cells which Iran has been setting up here for years, would spring into planned action and the country would be utter total hell and they could do it tomorrow.
Uk, the most defenceless, hapless country in Europe and we do not need Trump. How gormless can people get.

My fauilt, it was a very long read and the lighting in my old cottage does not assist reading these days. The word used was “potentially” , with the capacity to develop or happen in the future. I added tomorrow, my fault. However, the intercontinental, missile will soon be in their grasp and the existing 4000km is a real threat to Europe, I assume.

There is another front opened up further stretching the USA and Israel with the Houthies in Yeman getting involved. What a mess they are involved in now.
I wonder if any in the US government are thinking it was all a terrible mistake. No matter how rich they are this must be a terrific strain on their resources. Every missile they shoot down costs them half to one million dollars a time. and now access to the Red Sea is threatened.
