I’ve never actually thought about Orwell’s political beliefs any more than I have thought about bradbury’s or Huxley’s. I understand that the Republican party worship Ayn Rand because of “Atlas Shrugged”. I can see why that book has had so much influence. But Rand would have been an extreme type of liberal without a social conscience. Her anti-establishment anti oppression views are not out of line with Orwell’s in a number of aspects.
Oh dear, Mr Trump is disappointed with us all. That doesn’t bode well for when he finally extricates himself from this mess, he is a vindictive piece of work.
