Earlier in this thread Robin also said that Israel is the US’s only ally in the region. But the US has plenty of allies in that part of the World. We know this because Iran has been bombing them. What has been demonstrated in the last couple of years is that it most certainly isn’t a stable ally under its current leadership

Exactly. The Iran regime feels happy to attack the other gulf states because these states are friends of the US. Just look at how many US military bases are across these countries. The myth that the only western ally in the middle east is Israel is completely false.
But here is the real worry. Major players in the gulf, Saudi for example, actually want the end of the Iran regime. For years they have being funding a proxi war with Iran in Yemen. So they were not against the war on Iran by US / Israel. Right now, though, they are very much against a long term closing of the straights of Hormuz. This is the oil & gas route to Asia - a big, big revenue source. This means Saudi and others may well be pressing Trump to really finish the job against Iran. If the US does not do that - then the control over Hormuz remains with Iran.
But Trump is feeling the pressure back home. Do a deal Donald. The markets do not want more hikes in prices, more international instability, more borrowing to fund the fighting.
So dumb Donald has really got himself into a pickle. Thanks Bibi for making so many “buts”.

Israel has just been a big military base for the USA for over 70 years.Also helps to keep neighbouring countries divided so they can steal their oil.IMO
