Well you do not know that much then. The US has for decades looked after itself. If the US placed defensive capability in Europe then that was its buffer zone. If the US supported financial stability in Europe then that was to protect the dollar. There was never any generosity.
My guess is that you liked Thatcher. Please, tell me what help the US gave the UK during the Falklands conflict? A few bits of intel. Not exactly feet on the ground. Or ships in the ocean. One thing for sure OGF, if Trump is sucessful and Iran is restored to a peaceful democracy , this lot will still be whinging and moaning.
On the other hand, if Iran turns into a massive terror state, causing disruption and death in Europe and throughout the world, they will be whinging and moaning about that.
Beats me how any human being can support the vile, evil, sick and evil regime and the death of thousands , while complaining about a few quid extra on fuel bills.

I imagine that I have loved my country more than most. Started fishing when they took the barb wire and mines off the beaches when I was a young kid, and walked there and back. Spent my lifetime loving the countryside with a passion, sometimes cycling up to 60 plus miles to go fishing. Even more recently, I walked over the South Downs National Park where I live every day. Love Cornwall as half Cornish and always had convertibles to travel the length of Britain.
Never had a poxy mobile phone that I use and really hate all things internet and refuse to learn. Would much prefer to be fly fishing or tying a fly or working in the Repair Shop. Notice the Kiing did one of my walks yesterday, lucky git ,I loved that walk.
This country now is the utter pits.

On the other hand, when has the US been successful against any Middle East country with the exception of the coalition against against Iraq in Desert Storm? When we went into Iraq in 2003, we only made it less stable, and the real reason US forces went, Iraqi oil, which the US never saw a drop, and as for Iran becoming a “peaceful Democracy”, not happening, like I said in earlier post, you sound like a “goose stepper”.
