Beautiful photo Chilliboot!
Thank you Anise!
One of our regular boat trips from Richmond upon Thames, must do it again when the weather improves if only for old times sake.
This brings back memories for me. My mother would often take me to Richmond in the school holidays. We would travel across London by bus and train - used to love that!
It’s a lovely place, I was fortunate enough to live there for a little while when I was very young. The park is wonderful too but I guess you already know that.
Oh yes - and the summers always seemed to be much longer in those days!
Taken a few years back…
The balloon wasn’t mine, I was looking after it and no I hadn’t just come off the swings…honest!
Nice but surely that’s not a selfie as in a selfie
True…I’d have needed much longer arms, I put my faith in my photographer, he put his trust in me happy that I wouldn’t run off with his balloon and the rest is history, team work
Salam untuk awak Percy. Nice find.

Re. The Malayan Emergency (1948 – 1960) · Cultures of Occupation in Twentieth Century Asia
Wow very impressive. I had no idea about The Malayan Emergency so I’ve learnt something new today, thanks for sharing.
What an amazing piece of your history, Quint! Very interesting reading, more enlightenment on my part!
(I thought I recognised you from A Nother forum, now I’m sure of it)! Wonderful photo, by the way.
Thank you Pam . Strange how I came across Percy, just browsing.
A bit trigger happy. generalising. What was intended, as a singular. Shared Blast from the Past.
