Sweets or chocolate

I never liked Cadbury chocolate especially not dairy milk. Almost as bad as Hershey stuff. That’s the pits but then I never had a sweet tooth ever. The one exception is proper Israeli style halva. My old mum used to make it from time to time.

I agree. I have never bought Cadbury’s ‘chocolate’ since it became American. Nothing personal. It just doesn’t taste the same as it used to, but then Americans have different tastes to us.

Cakes don’t bother me I can watch friends eating it and I can enjoy my coffee . Sweets, well if there are any lying around I would prob eat half the bag , depends what sweets . Now crisps, walkers plain , I’ve been known to buy the 6 pack and eat three bags in one day, I love the crunch and salty taste on my tongue .

I remember seeing a good many comments just like yours when Cadbury was bought out. I also remember Cadbury stating it hadn’t made any changes at all to its formulation or ingredients. One thing that DID change was the shape of the Dairy Milk blocks - instead of being truncated pyramids, they had more rounded tops. This was done to reduce the weight of the bars but to keep the price the same (shrink-flation). I have to say that I haven’t noticed any difference in the taste but I have greatly reduced my chocolate intake because I found too much will trigger my migraines especially if its dark chocolate.

You’ll be pleased to know that all Cadbury’s products are Halal. If they use gelatin it is derived from beef.

Not if you are of muslim persuasion - beef and/or beef products are not halal unless the beast has been ritually slaughtered and if cadbury are endorsing that - they have just lost a customer!

I’ve never really had much of a sweet tooth. Not keen on a lot of sugary, sweet stuff.
Can’t remember when I last ate a sweet of any sort, and the only cake I am partial to is Lemon Drizzle. Never ate a trifle or gateau in me life.

We only like underripe bananas so if they go overripe I freeze them for banana cake .
