Supermarket Clothes - do you buy any?

Welcome @Incognito hope you enjoy your time on the site.:slightly_smiling_face:

Hello Incognito and welcome.

I hope that Matalan’s clothes have improved a bit because apart from their branded jeans I’ve found their clothes to be worse quality than the supermarkets so I stopped buying clother from there years ago.
Agreed about Next though.

Thanks for your reply and welcome, I hope you enjoy your time on OFC.

When I first read this, I thought you meant do you buy clothes to wear specifically to the supermarket. I instantly thought of pyjamas, lol. To answer the question, no, I have never bought any clothing at a supermarket.

Thanks for your input Incognito and Welcome to OFC!

Must admit, I’m not a great fan of Matalan. Although I have bought some leggings from them in the past for gardening, and also a pair of flip flops .

Actually, I was reading the Mailonline (I think it was) about parents taking their primary school kids to school in their PJs and slippers and how the Head has had to write to parents asking them not to.

Good role models those parents eh?

I always have a laugh when I read things like this, what happens if the car breaks down or is involved
in an accident? The driver may have to find their way home on public transport or even walk home.
Very embarrassing in one’s PJs I would imagine, especially if they happen to be very brief.
 :grinning:

Yea, I’ve always wondered that too Baz -

Mind you, with some of the mums their ordinary daytime clothes are brief
enough to be considered PJs by some other, more modest parents!

You know, I wonder sometimes how you blokes genuinely feel about these women showing all their bits.

I’m quite sure most of you would be turned on but what would you do if it was your sister or daughter?

I very rarely bought some clothes at a supermarket (boxershorts for the night) or at a discount store (Aldi’s and Lidl) e.g. cycling tights and shorts, a cardigan, and basic T-Shirts if they come in a colour other than black, blue, and grey which is rare enough.

I am not a snob but I do prefer better quality clothes. Supermarket clothes are usually not that well made and they scrimp on material.

I did buy a nightie and 2 bras from Asda recently as I needed both but couldn’t be bothered to go into the city and there was an Asda on the outskirts. i have been pleasantly surprised with the quality of these.

I use Walmart for cargo pants when I go there.

The supermarkets I frequent usually cater more for women and children’s clothing. Most of the stuff I have bought has been of reasonable quality but I am not a dedicated follower fashion. (cue for a song)

Not a supermarket purchase but I bought a new pair of pyjamas at the underwear and nightwear shop at the indoor market in our local town this morning. ½ the price of M&S equivalents.
