I rarely know more than 2 or 3 of the people in the show when it starts but I love the idea of getting to see these people train and improve week by week…
Its a bit like bake off… We see people grow and we get to like them.
I know its got flashy but thats the American influence on everything these days.
Its still better than most of the shoot them/ kill them/ blow them up rubbish thats on tv…

Was pleased with today’s announcement of Carol Kirkwood to join the strictly line up, (she is the BBC weather forecaster in a morning), I think she could do well.
Katie Derham is among the number too she is a commentator on the proms and very nice .
I too am looking forward to it, I say every year there is not that many people that I know, but it doesent matter once they start dancing I go by how good or bad they are.
I agree Shirley, many people we don’t know, but has made no difference to the enjoyment at all
