Jimmy Durante voice coming up …
‘Everybodys an expert !!!’ :-p
I mean - take the judges on there - how often are they ‘right’ … I mean do we ‘care’ about someones thumb !!
There is a limit - If they look the part in posture and dance the part - good enough !
What was wrong with Craig last night? He was quite civil to the contestants throughout the show … except poor Tony Jacklin
That’s the first time I’ve seen him give reasonably good marks to the dancers this early in the show.
Someones pulled him up by the jock straps Mags
Either that or his optimistic on his hip replacement coming up …
Or - he said to Bruno - your turn tonight !! :-p
I like dancing the rumba, as with all their dances the choreography makes it or breaks it.
Anyone doing online voting now for free? I did last night.
It’s a matter of fitness rather than age, Tony Jacklin is clearly not fit these days, he seemed very out of puff for the little amount of dancing he did.
You have a point Val - fitness …
But I bet a 65 plus never wins - that isn’t important I know, its the taking part - but the judges dont consider age or anything else come to that, still, its the contestants choice to enter. I will just have to harden up :-p
Looking forward to rhe Results show tonight.
Tony Jacklin is the first dancer to leave Strictly after the Dance-off against Julien McDonald. I think it’s always sad to be the first one voted out …
I have a feeling that Julien may follow him next week
Yes, shouldn’t be surprised Mags, unless it’s Hairy Dave?
I wish Claudia would trim her fringe a bit, she’s going to disappear under it before long.
Claudia, I think that’s one of the things I dislike, we have to view her and that long fringe and dark eye makeup just doesn’t look right.
We expected Tony Jacklin would be first leaving so no surprise there, he can go back to sunny Florida now, and continue at the golf club’s 19th hole.
It had to be between Tony and Julian so I’m not surprised it was either of them - at least the licence payer won’t have to pay for air fares back and forth to Florida!
I think the long fringe and heavy make-up is to disguise her eyes as much as possible - she does have sloe eyes but they dip downwards at the end (bit like cashew nuts but not as much obviously ) - that would be my guess anyway. I like her - she’s a bit zany and has a good sense of humour and that will do for me over any posturing female (or male) every time
Anyone else notice that the girl from Coronation Street didn’t look worried and when her name was announced, she didn’t look surprised or particularly happy? Arrogant enough to be sure she was through?
I don’t think I like her - when another contestant was being congratulated last week on their performance, she knew she was in the background and was smiling but thought the camera had gone to another angle and the smile immediately vanished and an utterly bored look appeared on her face.
Well spotted Kal, I notice things like that, anyone know what the problem with Abby Clancy was. Dont know why but it irks me when people ‘fold their arms’. When the dance finished, arms folded. When Tony had his last waltz and the dancers appraoach to say goodbye, she appraoached - arms folded - again …
Yes, I noticed that - a very defensive posture and she does seem ill at ease doing the dancing, don’t know why because she’s quite good. I’ve seen her on panel shows and she’s seems very pleasant and quite funny. A big ‘but’ for me is that she also has dance experience (albeit in modern dance).
I really like Fiona Fullerton (I used to wish I looked like her when I was younger!) and I hope she does well - for Anton’s sake
Suppose it will all come ouit in the wash …
I noticed that too, as their dance finished she said something very sharp to her partner but the microphones caught the sound but not what she said. Then as they walked over to Tess after, she did exactly the same again and looked quite thunderous. I thought something had gone wrong during the dance, like a wardrobe malfunction, or maybe he trod on her toe or something, but she looked far from pleased whatever it was, then looked in a sulk with her arms folded, for a while afterwards. i’m convinced something went wrong.
As for Claudia’s fringe, if she has funny eyes BV, I think the fringe draws you to them, not disguises them. I don’t dislike her, but Tess has many different hairstyles each week, but I’ve never seen Claudia’s any different. Maybe she’s got a scar on her forehead or something. . .
Agree with your comments on the Corrie girl BV, the thing is, I didn’t like her character in Corrie, not many poeple did, and although it’s unfair, it still makes me dislike her now. I still ‘see’ her being horrible to Tyrone!!
Maybe it’s what she’s like in real life and we’re picking up on it? I’ve seen her a few times with a ‘Kirsty smirk’ saying something to her dance partner. As much as I love Coronation Street and always have, they’re not great actors and I often think they tend to play themselves but with another name
I hope she doesn’t win (given her dance training) - I want to see them learn from scratch and end up doing some terrific dancing like the chap that won last year (I always think it must be harder for the men).
Its always harder for the men - they have to lead, so if they mess up, they cant then be ‘compensated’ by their partner …
What about the tantrum that Pamela Stephenson had last year when she didn’t win! I was really surprised by that. You know the heavy chap (not the hairy biker one), I really hope he does well, he has one of those smiley faces that you can’t help but smile with him.
Ah yes - he’s fab, hope he’s there for a long time - great entertainment !
Back to the US for Tony. At least he will have some good weather to go back to.
Julian or Vanessa next. They cannot dance and are not likable. To up themselves for me.
I would like to see Mark Benton go far in this series. Watched him in Hairspay at the Lowery theater, he was very good.
Ashley and Ola were good this week.
Kirsty from corrie , to good to soon and she knows it.
I like the outsiders to come through.
Craige was not himself this week, must have been missing Bruce.
