Out with Alfie this morning and there’s Frogs spawn in the pond at the local woods, any one else seen signs that its earlier, couple of Jackdaws were also breaking pieces of twigs in the trees behind our place …
Yes Spring’s on its way now, and good job too.
I used to love seeing frog spawn on my Mum’s little pond, but the new buyers filled it all in. I thought was so sad, as the frogs came back year after year.
Got a minute to go here. February is usually the worst month for snow here, and a snow shower or 3 in March is not unheard of. I’m hoping for good weather as I leave in March headed north.
Snowdrops, crocus are out, daffodils and their heads are just about to open ,love it,
Snowdrops are out, pigeons cooing loudly, cock blackbirds fighting for territory in our back garden.
I was pruning a rose this afternoon, when I heard, then saw, my first Bee this year.
Also saw a Red Admiral butterfly basking on a fence post in the sun last week.
It’s certainly been a good winter for outdoor activities so far this year, but lets not forget that the weather can change in an instant, and its best not to look a gift horse in the mouth…
How are you getting on with the drone Danny?
I’ve got one on it’s way and it should land on my doorstep on Friday…
You’re getting a drone, Foxy? Can I come and watch you play with it?
You certainly can Harbal, I’ll even give you a go if you like…
Now that I’ve learn to fly the bloody thing without hitting everything in sight. Going pretty well now.
You do know I’m serious, don’t you?
Great stuff Danny, I’m just hoping that I can learn to fly mine before I destroy it…
You are always welcome here Harbal, I’ll get t’kettle on…
They are durable. Though mine has never taken a bad fall. I have bumped a tree or two and got tangled in branches once, but after all that it still works perfectly.
I have a had a drone since Christmas before last. It hasn’t been out of the house due to housing and being too close to the airport.
However, now I’m moving, I shall be flying it high!
I should mention that wind is a big factor in control.
Okay, now you’ve committed yourself, I will await instructions on time and place. Meanwhile, I’m off to Amazon to buy a pilot’s hat.
You’ve kept that quiet, pilot Pixie.
I think I mentioned it way last year but since I haven’t used it at all, no point in talking about it. I even paid for a licence and everything! (Mine has the camera facility so by law you need an actual flying licence, and display it on your drone)
