Spontaneous Human Combustion, UFO's & Other Mysteries

Ever read Robert Kirks, The Secret Commonwealth? Robert was a Scottish priest who travelled around Scotland collecting verbal folk law. For example, he states that Elves are so called, because they are one Ell tall. An Ell is an old Scottish measurement of around 37 inches,. The Bible lists it as a Cubit, plus a palm. So it is based upon the distance between Elbow & finger tips in both measurements. The Scottish 37 inches being a double Ell.

Scottish folklore claims that Kirk was taken to be the personal priest of the Faery Queen at his death.

I can believe in the human combustion, but still to be convinced of Bigfoot, Nessie etc. For all the people who claim to have seen them, only vague fuzzy photos are taken. Once someone shows me a selfie of themselves with BigFoot/Nessie/UFO’s, then I’ll believe.

Fey folk on the other hand…oh yes, they exist…

There’s still a lot of weird stuff around the Bermuda Triangle.

Or what about the people who suddenly disappear into thin air and are never found again. One minute they are there, the next they just aren’t  Missing 411 cases I think they are called.

Or strange apparitions which have eluded scientific explanations. No doubt several cults and religions have been created using these as their basis.

You say that but, the Dame who developed the AZ Vaccine is talking about the next Pandemic being worse, as if it is going to happen next week. On past epidemic frequency’s, that would suggest something has changed.

If you have to be “convinced” then it’s not going to happen, we’re talking magic, mystery and conspiracy theory here

Didn’t you ever clap to save Tinkerbell at the Peter Pan panto?

I’m still convinced that it was only my efforts in the Palladium when I was six that saved her

Clap if you believe in fairies :clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:

A couple months ago, I watched a series called Project Blue Book. It was from the History channel, based on the real life of a scientist who investigated UFOs for the government.

His job was to debunk UFOs. At first, he went to every sighting with the thought of figuring out that what the people saw had a scientific explanation. By the end though, he just couldn’t explain everything. Then he and his partner started having these weird experiences themselves. By the end, he was a firm believer in UFOs himself.

After I finished watching the series, I went searching the internet for explanations about why people weren’t reporting as many UFOs. Like the OP, I couldn’t really find an answer.

Of course it goes without saying but you weren’t here at the time.
Phew!
