He’s had a few post in new members section, plus a couple I’m aware of in the hospital bed’s thread.
I’ve never had any trouble with spam PMs ever.
I’ve only been a member for a few months, and the restrictions were in place when I came. I did get a few friend requests from spammers though, back on OFF.
Its not bigger but if anything to me its more accessible, I like it better than the old one.
I turn off PMs altogether, this is a forum after all.
If anybody really wants to talk to me they can email me, just takes a bit more effort.

I didn’t know you could switch them off, Bruce…can you tell me how that works? Can you do it individually too like before? Not that I want to switch it off personally, but others might.

Haven’t found out about blocking individuals. Would imagine that blocking/ignoring someone would to the trick, but that would mean not seeing their posts as well.
I will say it to you Trixie,but I had joined a gardening forum one time and I got one from a weird Brit Living in France, she ranted and raved all about living in France and having to put up with Brexit…I actually reported the post and she got a warning. I had only just joined and she had no idea of my lifestyle just wanted Me on her side against the Brits…
Another one obscene and very personnel…So I would normally appreciate no PM’s…except from friendly females…
yes but so was I once I was led to understand that there was a sorta amnesty ? I’m sure Azz mentioned that in passing - yes I’m sure he said it didn’t matter if you’d been banned come back!! - anyway I am being treated as a new member so only limited access to some sites and that’s OK but can you tell me what I should be aiming for - like is it a time clause like 3 mths or number of posts etc - would be good to know were the goal posts are??
