On my android phone I press my finger on the screen where the text is and it’ll give me a blue highlight (within brackets) which I can expand or decrease
Quote button comes up next to it automatically

I’m having the same issue. I log in via either my iPhone or my iPad
It’s really annoying. The over50schat banner floats and is not pinned at the top for the iPad
