Sir Keir Starmer's speech

I watched Sir Kneel Alot’s speech to the converted of Liverpool this morning and was expecting a rant on Tory values, Boris, etc. What I saw and heard was a Party Political performance on behalf of the Conservative and Unionist Party. I really couldn’t believe my ears as he went off on one calling for everything that a true blue Tory supporter holds dear to his/her heart.

Is he changing sides, or is he pushing the Labour Party over to the right wing? Make up your own mind:

He always looks like he is about to burst into tears! He has no charisma whatsoever.

The last real good Labour man was John Smith.

Better Sir Kneel-a-lot than Sir Lie-a-lot and

Better no charisma than buckets of snake oil salesman, slimy charisma, like Johnson

And the part about the Tory hopefuls and their Thatcher Cosplay was funny :grinning: He should have mentioned Sunak in a blue frock!

I think he’s wrong to dwell on growth and abandon Nationalisation, rather then levelling up and making the wealthy and big corporations pay their share

But he’s right about the Tories having broken the contract about hard work getting rewarded. They have deliberately created a situation where this who work hardest just get exploited some more so their chums can keep their snout in the trough.

But he’s no leader, and no socialist and I’d never choose to vote for a party he lead with the stance he took on rejoining the EU

Although I’d vote for the devil himself to keep the Tories out, the devil himself couldn’t do any worse than them :smiling_imp:

Mick Lynch for PM!

I don’t enough about Sir Keir Starmer to criticise him.
However he seems to be honest , that alone is a refreshing change.

I’m inclined to agree with you, Ripple, but then its easy to be honest when you don’t have to deal with anything. I often wonder how honest anyone would keep being, if they got away with being the opposite.

And the MSM haven’t decided to have you removed…
If I was PM the first thing I would do is take control of the BBC and close down all other news outlets.

However I always suspected Johnson as being a buffoon ….then there were all those vanity projects and the Brexit lying .

Just like Putin, Kim Jong and Xi Jinping?

Yep. Back in the fifties the establishment realised just how effective advertising was. What a tool it would be if they could get it to everyone and spout political and social propaganda 24 hours and seven days a week. So they made equipment you couldn’t do without…Mobile Phones, TV’s, Radios, and best of all the internet, something you can take with you. Not only could they saturate the country with their brainwashing and social engineering, they could even tell where everyone is at any given time.
I agree scot, just like Putin, Kim Jong and Xi Jinping, but whereas they do the brainwashing out in the open, the western world make you think that it’s what you want. That’s the clever bit, but with the same result.

Just think, though … without “all other news outlets” you wouldn’t have any “conspiracy” sources either …

I don’t do ‘Conspiracy’ Omah… :009:

Then I’ll replace “conspiracy” with “alternative” … :+1:

Yep, I’ll take that Omah…
I agree with you though, if we got good reliable no nonsense unbiased news there would be no such thing as Alternative or even conspiracy theories because we would trust the news agency to report the news without putting a spin on it or turning it into propaganda.

Why is Starmer even a ‘Sir’?

How did earn that title?

According to Wiki: On conclusion of his five-year term as Director of Public Prosecutions, he was appointed Knight Commander of the Order of the Bath (KCB) in the 2014 New Year Honours.

Oh. What a load of old cobblers. I wonder what a ‘Knight Commander of the Order of Bath’s’ job entails? Sounds like something out of Sir Lancelot’s days.
Thanks though, Percy.

Being a KCB is not a job.

It’s one of the Honours the Queen grants as a reward for service.

The Most Honourable Order of the Bath is awarded to members of the military or civil service for exemplary service.
Keir Starmer was awarded his KCB title for services to law and criminal justice, before he became a politician.

And he should have stuck to law, because he is never going to make it as a politician.
