It depends what you mean by “make it” - Starmer didn’t begin his political career until 2015, when he was voted in as an MP - and within 5 years, he had already “made it” to the top job of Leader for his Party.
Not many MPs make it from the backbenches to the front benches as quickly as he did and very few get a shot at the Party Leader’s job.
Why would I want to prove it Omah? It doesn’t take a Ms Marple to wonder that his rise to fame seemed quite astounding. As Boot pointed out, he made it to party leader within 5 years…There are many local MP’s who win a seat in their constituency and are consigned to the back benches for years…
Keir Starmer has already failed as Prime Minister. Claiming we should anticipate ‘more pain’ under his leadership, a spectacular admission. He promised change, everything that he plans to do is about those plans; to deliver the Tory plans.
Who expected that change would be paid for by penalising pensioners.
Prevaricating and delaying, choosing the easy options.
He never mentioned about the “freebees” he gets, Not only him but his wife and even his son. Nor about his female sidekicks holiday in the USA . not even about the vast amount of money he has given to other countries.
but yes he did about pensioners winter Christmas fuel allowance being removed to help balance the books. and by giving train drivers thousands of pounds pay rise. Not forgetting those huge ones to those in the National health.
Labour looking after the working class and those in need !!!
