Shocked neighbours call police after mum hangs Nazi swastika flag in bedroom

Which is a classic case of everyone having rights hitting head on with someone else who demands their rights.
There’s a helluva lot of ‘offended’ people about now … not like when I was a kid … before dinosaurs walked the Earth.

Absolutely, its madness.

I’m confused how & why I got this thread about hate in my email. So this hate thread reminded you of me?

I wonder if someone could verbalise what the hidden message of someone displaying a swastika in the UK might be? It’s obvious in Germany but in the UK?

Bratti … I’m lost. What do you mean?

I think we all understand the connotations of the swastika and so no, it is not a symbol anyone would want to have in their house.

What are you talking about?

…………….

If it’s not meant as a purely rhetorical question, then my answer would be that what is not covered by laws passed in parliament is, in an open society, negotiated through public discourse also including non-government bodies. For our forthcoming mandatory vaccination a free vote in parliament will be arranged.

Perhaps you should keep your full life-size male nude picture in your bedroom, Morty.
Of course, if you invite members of the public in, there might be a bit of trouble.

I agree with you JBR. It would be far better if Morty kept that picture where it is, on her bedroom ceiling.

It’s a very imaginative use of the light pendant she has in place.

Best place Dex , out of reach … I tried lower but it got too well thumbed.

I think that’s been tried with golliwogs too… for some reason.

Yes I vaguely remember that happening too.

And…hello

Hello again PK!

It has. Robertson’s jam had them.

"Golliwog dolls can sell for over $6,000 , which makes them the most prized of all “Golli” "collectibles.

Golly gosh.

Did Robertsons jam have to get rid of them because they were deemed racist? or was it another reason? I can’t remember now…I just remember them not being very happy about it

They were deemed racist … a shame … as my little golly smiling at me from the marmalade jar really used to get me off to a good start.

Yes it was deemed racist. Now they are eminently collectables.
