Yes, my mother used to make that. She got prizes for it at the WRI.

My sister is the one for cooking that too, & it’s so much better than shop-bought.

The meat pies impressed me when on Edinburgh pub crawls back in the '70s

That shape is quite unique, and so is that pastry.

Ooh yes I order these regularly from one of two places I use, one of which is in Kilmarnock and they sell small steak pies known as the Kilmarnock pie too.
They are totally different to English steak pies & I make my own steak pie for New Year as is the Scottish custom.

Just in case, a recipe -

So sorry! I didn’t really have a guilty pleasure so I ‘borrowed’ yours…

I should have asked your permission first - sorry but your guilty pleasure is definitely a guilty pleasure!

1kg sugar makes all other guilty pleasures pale in comparison!!!

I absolutely loathe these, too greasy.

The Killie pie is a Legend and like no other

It actually deserves its own thread

I think they’re designed to line the stomach of the 12 pints of heavy a night pub crawler. Best attempted by the under 30s.
