I think there was an experiment some years ago when the clocks were not put back, if memory serves the idea was abandoned because of the increase in the number of accidents involving children during the darker mornings.
I’ll have to have a Google after another coffee or two
There are less children nowadays, let’s give it another go.
Hmm… RoSPA back the idea of abandoning the practice of putting the clocks back given the number of accidents during the afternoon school run/commute.
It seems a bit of a swings or roundabouts type situation although it’s worthy of discussion.
There should be no discussion on this clock meddling madness, not sure who actually welcomes it nowadays?
As a compromise maybe we should just alter the clocks by 30 mins
Max, forward is the only way, save me a fortune in torch batteries!!!
Aren’t we discussing it now?
NO, this is a minor RANT.
The nightmare of altering the oven clock has gone hooray , well mine never said the right time anyway .
I bought an air fryer , now my oven is used for storage …the clock has been switched off .
Sounds like you are “Cooking on Gas” Ripple
I hardly wear a watch these days. I think you can get ‘a feel’ for the time.
I amaze myself at how accurate l am… l even chime on the hour!
Mags, Thank You for the reminder.
Similar, but let’s not get into what I use as a pendulum
I tend not to wear a watch on most days, just a stopwatch while out exercising.
The sense of ‘Empowerment’ and throwing of the shackles of time applies equally between not wearing a watch, or not wearing any clothes…But they do take a dim view of naked shopping in our local Tesco…
Yeah but I bet you get a till all to yourself
You could cover “bob’s bits” with a small ladies wristwatch.
I always use that hand thingy Chilli…
Is that a ‘wind up’ Dex?
Us folks down south will carry on as normal. I’ll be two hours ahead
I’d probably enjoy the extra snooze but the bloody dog would.t see it that way!
I have no clocks to put back, I never stole a clock in the first place!
