I sleep alone now, but when OH was alive I slept on the left side, still do actually as my Jellycats, cuddly toys, have the right side.

Hmm, is the left looking at the bed from the foot, or after you are in the bed?
Often I lay my pillow close to the edge of one side, the other pillow at my back, and actually lay across the bed. Sleep like a little muffin most of the night!

No alarm clocks for me anymore, my echo dot speaker wakes me up gently to the sound of Handel’s Water Music… sublime 
I remember the good old days…
They used to wake you up alright… the trauma!

I have an Alexa but think the sudden sound of the radio or some advert coming on could put me in a bad mood for the day

That’s very true…the good news is you don’t have to endure either, simply ask Alexa to set an alarm at the required time with a specific piece of music of your choice

i like my twin bed, now and then I turn and sleep head away from the headboard. Makes life interesting and Fung Shui. I’m still waiting for the benefits of FS to kick in. More to come then
