I belong to a few photgographic forums and get really annoyed. Such as recently a member on one of the forums asked about making videos.
Along come some BS*tters giving advice on video equipment they don’t have actually had hands on and only read somewhere.
now I try and give an honest answer on gear I have used over the past 15 years . I also include video examples to back up what a say.
I have yet to see any of these BS*tters do the same
So after having given sound advice those asking the questions my replies are ignored totally
Do you know that your replies are ignored? Perhaps someone has read them and acted on them but not replied, such is the nature of forums.
You could just give a link to this forum where all your gear has been exposed in great detail, just because it gets no reply doesn’t mean it hasn’t been read.
Bruce strangely enough this happen on USA forums not on UK ones. Might be because a different culture built up on suspicions???
Honest hands on experience I don’t think the American really trust. For example questions about best microphones get asked. Now I am no audio technician but I can tell what soundS right and what doesn’t so explaining about directional and stereo -wind rumble use for best deadcat (muffler) and different micophone settings is mostly above what they understand.
Now I don’t know anything about portrait photography so don’t even go there, but videography I may be able to help with.
like most forums there arfe knowledgable members and the BS ones why make most posts and clueless or got from reading only.
