Is history about to be repeated? Harry and wife chased by the Pararazzi this time.
I was just about to ask if there was proof but multiple NYPD were involved.
From the article
Harry’s not going to take this lying down, he’s going to want blood, especially after what happened to his mother. He always said this was one of his greatest fears.
Why a chase and why two hours, that’s one hell of a long time? Surely no chase can last that long?
And why, if this is true, would they think they can outrun paparrazi and why would they even want to, they court publicity wherever they go and loved to be photographed…
If I were to be just a little bit cynical, it would seem to me like it was engineered to paint them, once again, as victims, which seems to be their favourite stance, from where to occupy the moral high ground…
I agree - it’s all rather overdramatic:
In a statement, the prince’s spokesperson said the “relentless pursuit” lasted for over two hours.
They added it resulted in near collisions with other drivers on the road, pedestrians and police officers.
There are now claims the chase that followed involved half a dozen cars, with reckless driving including going through red lights, driving on the pavement, carrying out blocking moves, and reversing down a one way-way street - as well as taking photographs while driving.
It’s also claimed that the presence of New York police officers did not stop the pursuit.
- The New York Police Department (NYPD) did not immediately confirm knowledge of the matter. There have so far been no reports of any injuries or arrests.
Well at least we can’t blame Prince Philip this time!
It’s probably unrelated but:
A 29-year-old man was arrested over stalking charges after he was spotted at 2am on Monday.
The trespasser was arrested and later booked for a misdemeanour.
He has since been released on a $2,500 bail, local reports have claimed.
I also thought the 2 hours was a bit OTT, but I didn’t write the article. So please don’t shoot the messenger. I only posted the article.
I won’t bother in future. 😵💫
Maybe there’s a new book coming ?
Well surely their Netflix crew would have filmed it all for the 2nd Truth their Truth documentry,
I carnt wait for it to come out , and no doubt this will be used in English Courts to get him Police security in this country …
I don’t know why you would think I was blaming you? Just the story itself I find unbelievable…
Prince Harry has described his battle to change the media as his “life’s work”.
Another book probably @Chilliboot
Nobody’s shooting you … the “two hours” is being quoted from the link …
But two New York police officials have played down the incident saying they do not believe the chase was “near catastrophic” and described a “bit of a chaotic scene”.
Police sources in New York have given the following breakdown of what happened on Tuesday night.
:: Harry and Meghan leave the Ziegfeld Ballroom with private security with them at around 10pm local time. Police say the couple wanted to go back to where they were staying on the Upper East Side.
:: Harry and Meghan didn’t want paparazzi to know where they were going so they were driven across 57th street and other streets for about an hour and fifteen minutes. One NYPD vehicle was escorting their vehicle.
:: The Sussexes were driven to the 19th precinct and stayed there around 15 minutes. Police helped get the pair get off the block and they got into a different car. They got to their residence without being followed.
That’s a different story … … and closer to the truth …

Ken Wharfe was a bodyguard for both Prince Harry and his brother William, the Prince of Wales. He also served as their mother, Princess Diana’s, personal protection officer.
He says it’s highly unlikely that it was a two-hour “near-catastrophic car chase” and that it remains unclear what is meant by the phrase used by Prince Harry’s spokesperson.
Wharfe adds that while the paparazzi can be a “nuisance”, as he experienced during his time working with Princess Diana, they “don’t go out to kill people”.
He also questioned the decision by private security to try and speed off to escape the paparazzi, saying that this doesn’t resolve the issue.
“It seems to me there’s a breakdown in security, there’s a breakdown in liaison perhaps with the New York Police Department.”
More on the “catastrophe”:
The couple, plus Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland, tried to take shelter from the paparazzi by going to a Manhattan police station. There was then a plan to use a New York taxi, with a yellow cab flagged down and Harry, Meghan, Ms Ragland and a security officer getting inside. But the vehicle and its occupants were spotted by photographers and they reverted to their own security vehicles.
Cab driver Sukhcharn Singh, who goes by the name Sonny, told the BBC he picked up the four passengers on 67th Street between Lexington Avenue and 3rd Avenue.
“A security guard hailed me, next thing you know Prince Harry and his wife were hopping into my cab,” he said. “As we went a block, we got blocked by a garbage truck and all of a sudden paparazzi came and started taking pictures. They were just about to give me the location of where they were going to go, but then they told me to circle back to the precinct.”
He said they were “nice people” who “looked nervous” but he thought claims of a “near catastrophic chase” might have been exaggerated, adding that he did not think the paparazzi were being “aggressive”.
“New York is the safest place to be - there’s police stations, cops on every corner,” he said. “The paparazzi were behind us… they kept their distance.”
The passengers paid $50 for the 10-minute journey, he added.
The driver’s assessment stands in contrast to that of Chris Sanchez, a member of the couple’s security detail, who told CNN the scene was “very chaotic” and that photographers at one point blocked the limousine carrying Harry and Meghan.
“The public were in jeopardy at several points,” he said. “It could have been fatal.”
Surely there must be dashcam footage from one or more of the vehicles involved that could confirm that a “catastrophe” occurred …
Another publicity stunt by the Ex Sussexes. Another story to sell to the nasty but meal ticket press.
If it happened for real, I foresee that Harry will tell both Charles and William. Measures will be taken to repatriate Harry and family back to the UK.
No he won’t come back to the UK not whilst he is married … this will be used as a lever to grant him security while he is here visiting though…thats what this is all about.
I saw the NYPD…were unable or unwilling to substantiate it was 2 hours. I think a lot of exaggeration is evident here
If Harry pursues this course of action, there is a good chance.
The Sussex claim of a two hours catastrophic car chase isn’t being backed up by the taxi driver.
Apparently their journey was blocked by a garbage truck enabling the paparazzi to catch up .
When asked if the paparazzi behaved aggressively, the driver replied no no they just wanted to take pictures.
He was then told by security to circle back to the precinct, £50 was paid for a 10 minute journey.
When asked how the passengers looked, he said they looked nervous.
2 hr car chase through the streets of NY errrr I don’t think so .
