Now that could be a possibility, but I’m not a statistician and leave all of that to the likes of Chris Whitty to hypothesise and draw meaningless graphs to baffle us all.
One think I do know, everyone I talk to in my location is 100% fed up with covid and mostly now go about life as they did before and wear a face covering when in a shop.

Everybody is fed up with covid, but it doesn’t mean we should have a hissy fit and go about our life like we did before because “its getting a bit tiresome now, the novelty has worn off and lets just do whatever we like and bugger everybody else”.
I have many years to live yet and a granddaughter I want to see grow up, so I’ll stick to the rules and try and be wherever you aren’t.

Quite right.It’s the same here.People can’t handle any sort of self -discipline these days.They’ve got to do what they want regardless of the consequences.

I am currently in hospital,in CCU.
The two hospitals currently have 3 Wards used for COVID, soon to be 4.
COVID has ramifications for everyone, it’s not just those with Covid who are affected.
Operations and appointments are being cancelled.
The delay in ambulance arrival and handover times, with queues outside are actually now killing people.
The delays are causing life changing conditions.
This could be your family affected, terrible if it is a child.
I came in Monday, should have been an 18 minute response time for the ambulance, it was over 2 hours.
My condition had deteriorated so much on that time it triggered the Sepsis pathway.
You may think you are immune, you are not, neither are your family.

Providing every one attending a family gathering at Christmas have all tested negative, I don’t see the problem. When you have taken every sensible precaution to protect yourself and others from spreading the virus there is nothing else you can do so just enjoy yourselves.
How many people at your party caught covid as a result LongDriver?
I’d like to bet that nobody did…People shouldn’t be ordered to have vaccines and stay at home, it should be voluntary and if you are frightened of catching it, stay at home and avoid other people.

I had a big scan yesterday.
What started as your average heart attack turned much worse because of the delay in treatment.
The damage is done, it is as simple as that.
Untreatable, I will not be getting better, I am going home with morphine.
I am 70 tomorrow, had a great life, done loads and they will not do a transplant at my age.
We all go sometime.
I intend to remain annoying as long as possible.

Boris Johnson to give COVID update today with Professor Chris Whitty and Dr Nikki Kanani amid Omicron spread on one channel and on the other a non stop Sponge Bob review. Looks like Sponge Bob wins again. 
What is going on in the rest of the world, not just here, some folks did not want global but they got it regardless so, for perspectives sake the global position is central to knowing what is happening.
