Do you get them or have ever got them ?
Are they a warning of the future or by having them do you attract that future ?
I have put and all on because the new thread didn’t like premonitions alone !

I don’t believe in ‘premonitions’ to me they equate with superstition and other semi religious nonsenses.
We all have random thoughts that might coincidently be about an event that takes place in the future.
Deleted, because I got premonition mixed up, with a prophecy/ vision.
I believe a premonition comes from a gut feeling or a clairvoyant…I go with my gut, but don’t believe in clairvoyance.
I had a premonition you were going to ask that.
You’ve got to be in it to win it. init.
No premonitions for me, if something is going to happen, it will.
I’m in charge of my own brain!
I have had an out of the body experience does that count?
Regularly?
Not in my sphere.
I wouldn’t call it a premonition. More like a sixth sense…
Nope it was just the once many years ago, most weird.
Yes I have had premonitions in the past and it’s more a bad feeling that something is about to happen. They have always been pretty accurate. I wish in some cases I had acted on them. I can sense danger and used to also have strong feelings walking into a new area or building. I think it’s just a sixth sense. Even now I can feel when something is up if I walk down a street. Doesn’t everyone have these feelings of potential danger?
I also used to have dreams that would give me insight into situations that were happening and the underlying current of what was going on. The dreams were like a warning to me to watch out and not be complacent about situations. This was usually in relation to work issues or relationships with others. Things you ignore in the daytime interactions would surface in a dream scenario and it was like lifting a veil to see what was really happening. They were never nightmares, just lucid dreams.
Doesn’t happen so much now as my brain is less active with all this pandemic business of less interaction.
Weird thing though, Husband states very seriously to this Day that when he was in his Mothers womb he heard loud noises that he later believed to be bombs dropping in London.
I am wondering if the loud noises did not come from somewhere a little closer.
You wish Mags. Our Brain is our Computer, except your don’t want it switched off…
instincts, some I see that, but not like say a Cats instincts… :
just was reading stories of 9/11
That was quite an article .
I believe it .
Annie I do . On one occasion I was riding a horse out with another girl and came to a dip in the ground where I felt real fear . I got off the horse and refused to go on . The girl ( a strong very experienced rider berated me for being a wimp ) we swapped mounts she got on and the horse exploded and really frightened her but she managed to stay on .A year or so later my mother sent me newspaper cutting. a horse had unseated its rider ran out in the road and leapt on a car killing the driver a father of three . It was the same horse and this occurred little more than an hundred yards from where I had dismounted that same horse .
I have had other premonitions such as you describe too.and it makes me uneasy .
I read an article a few years ago which attempted to explain the feeling of Deja vu.
From memory what it said was that the “fear and flight” mechanism in the brain bypasses some of the normal filtering the brain undertakes so the information arrives quicker. This is self preservation so you can flee or at least take some action quickly.
The same information also is processed by the brain in the normal manner so arrives a fraction of a second later leaving one with the feeling that this event has happened before. In a flight situation then this is lost in the panic to flee/fight but if the brain decides that action is not appropriate then you are left with the feeling of deja vu.
Seemed reasonable to me. Perhaps premonition is a similar action in the brain?
You were very wise to listen to that feeling and take a different course.
