Premium Bonds - Are they a good investment?

Have had 3 £25 wins for this month:-D:-D:-D

Well done Galty, just checked mine …nothing!:frowning:

You must have loads Galty! :044:

I think they must have sent you my win by mistake Galty

Just had a look at the November big winners.

Not only where 2 winners of bonds bought in 1957 there was a 1974 bond bought for £2 and a holding of £2 all for £1000 winnings.

£1000 EK578736 £159 Kent £5 Sep-57

Hope some new ones get some love too

I think the beers should be on Galty.

I wonder if any of us will win in the November draw :017:

Well, Ernie didn’t smile on me this month :frowning:

It’s good to hear that the older and the more modest purchases are winning though

I had two £25 winners this month.

Any body who wants a drink to celebrate I will be at the Beachy Head Pub(Beachy Head) this Friday 12 O`clock.

Well done Galty, be careful how you spend it all!

That’s a lovely offer; I’m sorry I’m much too far away.
Have a lovely lunch!

Well, the OH bought a good wodge of Bonds on Friday, so if we get a million we’ll have an OFFers party - and I’ll pay to fly DM and buzzie over (whether they want to or not!)

Fingers crossed for ya DM!

Good luck DM…

Woo-Hoo

A win in the first draw!

£25. It would have been nice to add a few noughts but it’s a start

Nice one DM… don’t spend it all at once now

Think it’ll be going off to the Haiti/DEC appeal

Someone once said that if you have a reasonable amount (over 3000) you win at first and then it dries up.

Well for a random chance thing that does not make sense??. I bought 4000 some years back and won a few small prizes (say 3-4% return) and then nothing for almost 3 years until £25 last month
