Post your daily exercise routine

Lost weight, definitely fitter and faster but without a goal my resolve is being eaten away.

I wonder if the need for a goal is a bloke thing?
I’m just happy trying to be as fit and active as I can following recent years of ill health and surgeries.

Well it’s not a ‘This Bloke Thing’ Ruthio, I’ve never needed a carrot to keep me interested in running although I can see Marks point. He goes out and wastes himself in the name of training and it makes it all worthwhile if you can go and use your speed in competition.

If I could just muster up a tiny fraction of this guy’s drive …

His website

Not sure how old he is though - trying to find out.

Found it - 39 yrs old.

Ran 4x around a park tonight - maybe 6 mile in all. Steady running. Quite enjoyed it. Few characters I have seen before and quite a few I hadn’t. Although I tend to keep myself to myself I’m still acutely aware of who is who.

Breathing felt good - legs felt good - overall fitness seemed eh … good.

horizontal, vertical, horizontal, vertical, horizontal, vertical,
that’s about it

Just completed a 7-8 miler in very hot conditions and felt fine. Found it quite easy in fact, which is a good sign. My park runs, where I carry out circuits, is good training by the looks of it. Losing weight and being light on your feet makes a huge difference though.

Who pays his bills whilst he’s doing that sort of stuff?

Well he sells t-shirts and stuff on his website so that must help. The guy is very well known so not short of a few sponsors I bet.

I get out of bed. Result! It works for me

He don’t look very happy about it.

Not only that but he looks way way WAY older than his years.

YEP … fairly revolting as far as I’m concerned

A bit of toning and the occasional muscle is fine, but that guy’s taken it too far.
Makes me wonder about his mental state

Well, he just did 50 triathlons in 50 days so he has a very weathered look to say the least. Also his body fat looks close to zero so that isn’t helping either. I’m sure a few weeks of rest, a shave and good food will get him back to looking 39 again.

Anyway I did another 4-5 miles last night and put in 4 hill sprints. I’m waiting for my legs to become tired, as tired as in the months before, but the fact I’m lost so much weight has transformed my running making it less of a strain on my body. I did feel tired (I did a long run the evening before) but not so much my legs as my body overall. When my legs get tired it hits my big leg muscles above the knee but I haven’t really felt that nagging ache for a while now. I just have to watch I don’t eat too much and put weight back on.

I used to have a beautiful body, I looked like a Greek god
Now I am a chubby bald guy with a breast fetish, mind you I was born like that, so I guess it’s genetic.

Just come back from 1 hours Yoga, followed be half hour in the gym.
When Ive finished my coffee I’ve got to walk the dogs.
That’s quite enough for me for one day thanks.

I don’t think I’ll mention the regular walking and cycling from now on …unless something in addition to this is done, or I can’t keep up the weekly regime any more. Other than that, if at all interested :), just take it as read I’m that doing well and keeping fit.

He’s obviously obsessional and will probably never succomb to ‘R and R’ o

Makes me wonder how many years he has left

Great to read all these posts, it’s good to see training and physical exercise still taking place at all ages.

I don’t post every session I do on here but if anyone’s interested I write a regular journal at a forum called Muscletalk, which is more specialised to fitness and bodybuilding.
