Snow has gone, tomorrow will be a Bomber Mission.
Oooooerr! Sounds exciting!
You need to experience the vibe , only, there is no vibe, it is silky smooth, vibrations will not come from the machine.
Ok, Iāll take your word for it
Bomber mission?
Oh my!!! Iām in love with your bike!!!
it is unique, sort of, there are quite a few Sur roners, but, fewer Bombers, I have both, and the bomber is superior in many ways.
There are many youtube sur ron videos because they are buy and video, you have to build a rip off Bomber.
Just bought the 2KW rear wheel for the second Mountain Bike Conversion, these two are what will take the Son and I to the Shows next year, we have had our fill of traffic jams on stinking hot days.
Show us a picture Spitty!!!
The Motor wheel aināt coming from China, its coming from near Heathrow and has been dispatched so, could be here tomorrow. Iāll stick a photo on of the new conversion bike and the wheel, the wheel comes with the controller, throttle, cut off brakes and pedal assist sensor, which, at the speed this will be capable of will be useless, so, might not fit it.
Battery next, will need a 52V 20amp hour ( about £350.00) might go for the triangle frame fit one this time.
Spitty, Iām not interested in the mug as much as Iām interested in the bike!!!
Take a fuller pic of the bike please
Ooooohhh !!! Niceeeeely done Spitty
When is her maiden ride then?
It has a few miles on the clock, not many though.
Thereās a two page spread this month in one of the freebie mags we pick up at the local supermarketā¦
about e.bikesā¦
A Forgotten E-bike Pioneer
Almost as old as cycling itself is the desire to take some of the effort out of riding a bike. In fact, way back in 1895 an American papent was granted to one Ogden Bolton Jr. for a cycle powered by an elecxtric motor incorporated in an oversized rear wheel hub.
With no gearing system or pedals for assistance, it probably drew up to 1`00 amps from the 10 volt battery heād mounted under the top tube (or āācrossbarāā) of the frame. That would have severely limited the usable range, so itās hardy surprising that Boltonās idea never caught on, and the inventor sank into obscurity.
thatās just at the foot of the pageā¦
There is an article about insurance as wellā¦basically it states if the e.bike is over 250W or is capable of exceeding 25 km per hour then Insurance is compulsory with a motor cycle insurance. Also public liability.
There is a picture of a Husqvarna Hard Cross 8 obviously not really a road bike that model but for hilly and off road stuff. RRP is 6599 euros
You are quite correct Di, take the Saracen, in one photo it is legal, in the other it is not, can you spot which is which
Then the Bomber, one is legal, the other not.
Finally the Sur ron, registered at DVLA and Insured.
The self builds have 250w restrictors built into the programmers.
Here is the new 2KW wheel for the second E-Mountain Bike build, this will be powered by the largest (pushbike) type battery available at the moment which is 52V-20AH, top speed 47MPH.
Obviously I will only use it in 250w mode.
