I guess it could be packed on the MotorHome…he knows how to enjoy himself, did you know?

That was a wimps Chopper the MK2, the MK1 which I had was exciting (dangerous), see on the MK2 the frame above the rear axle has a dogleg in it to put the riders weight in front of the axle, on the MK1 the frame went straight up so the riders weight was behind the axle so, the front wheel spent more time in the air than on the road, also so, on the MK2 because the frame is doglegged it made the seat about six inches shorter so giving a backie to a mate was neigh on impossible  :bike:

Had a fiddly job to do today. last night when I parked my van up, the steering wheel security locks activation arm fell apart, so I just rested it on the wheel so it looked activated, what had happened was a crosshead machine screw which holds the slide button on had come out. to refit required compressing the spring, this was done by tying it up compressed with twine) but I could no find a right angle screwdriver to retighten the screw so, I found an allen bolt with the same thread size which allowed me to tighten with an allen key.
You can just see the allen bolt to the right of the black knob

Once the bolt was tightened I cut the twine on the spring which expanded back into place

you just can’t trust black knobs

black knobs means no blood at least as oxidiation has occured importanr given the accident that did happen.

I think it may be Captain Black :astonished:

Off in a few minutes on the last pre-booked weekend of the official season, as we head into winter, time away will be very much Ad Hoc, depending on weather and site availability.

Here is a couple of photos of the hills taken last weekend.

I am 65 in a couple of weeks so have decided it is time to become sensible. On site a gentleman was selling a good quality lightweight LEGAL Ebike which I have decided to purchase so, its a trip back in my work van to collect, so next year, cycling through Cotswolds villages should not be such a fraught experience :bike:

Sure rhe state pension can afford it

Well, if it can’t we all sink together, a team of sorts. :icon_wink:

how about share a bike for the over 65’s

Here we are, what quality item, German Engineering, being legal has never felt so good

First trip out on the Kalkhoff, what a machine, considering it has a battery and hub motor, it is so light and easy to pedal without assistance, my only reservation is not being able to select assistance from the handlebars, you have to dismount an select from down by the pedal crank.

How light Spitty?

About 19 Kgs Chilli
