My neighbours frower:
I had a set of 6x4 prints arrive from the processor yesterday
They were taken outside the wonderful Brewery Shades on that sweltering hot Bank Holiday!
What I would call a real ‘community’ pub hosting live music pretty much every weekend. This time it was The Eddie Miller Band. Ed also performs solo, teaches guitar and plays at festivals, weddings etc, a really nice fella to boot!![]()
The man himself!
Duncan on bass and vocals
Magic drumming…look, no arms!!!
Taken on Formapan 400, as I’ve said before a Marmite of a film. I love it, the edgy old school look and noticeable grain. An affordable Czech made film, a bit temperamental perhaps, wouldn’t want to push it beyond box speed. I’ll certainly be ordering some more!
I don’t really share your love of film or B&W, but I admire your enthusiasm. ![]()
Thank you d00d!

Actually I’ve been quite surprised about the number of people that pick up on the fact that I’m carrying film cameras when out and about and ended up having a chat. I have a band that are interested in having some of the pictures on their website and another reggae/ ska band that are asking for some piccies too.
The beauty of digital is … you can shoot at 5 or 10 frames per second to capture that one magic moment.
Very true, but analogue is so tactile, I hear that from people time and time again! An analogy, picking up an original gate fold vinyl LP, removing the discs from the cover, blowing off the dust, placing it on the turntable and listening to the crackle.
Or, downloading the same double album online, streaming and listening to it digitally. I’m not knocking digital, a friend, ex workmate is giving me a brand new boxed one she received as a pressie, she doesn’t want it, very useful too. I’m just saying! ![]()

I know exactly what you mean. … and the sound of the shutter opening and closing … orgasmic.
Yeah!
And that’s pretty knackering after 36 times on the trot!
Especially at my age😮
