This is how I took the above flower photo. Using a long 300mm (600 in full frame terms) lens at 15ft away, the camera was mounted on a tripod. To stop any camera shake I used a wireless remote shutter release unit. that wireless unit is about the best one can get operates to around100+ ft away .
