A friend of mine took this photo an area not too far away from me called the Burren
looks like a painting rather than a photo but can assure you it was taken by a camera
For the connoisseurs of spiders out there this little darling was hanging about my front door when I went out early this morning.
I don’t know its proper name but is is called the Net Casting Spider, it is about 100/120mm from end to end. Quite harmless.
For years there was a family of Redbacks living there until they were replaced by these.
What a strange looking critter…
Wow! It look like a Stick insect.
It is similar but stick insects are more sticklike and their front and rear legs are separated down the body
Ah! the shed down the bottom of my garden?
Rummaging through a shed load of old paperwork today I chanced upon this…
Punky days with my late wife before we were married. Think I was 22 at the time, blonde hair courtesy of Clairol… my roots needed doing!
I’d quite forgotten all about this snapshot!
Aw, but sad. ![]()

just trying out a new lens handheld with my Panasonic G9ii camera. This time using 35-100mm f2.8 lens @f10 on the camera. This tree is in a garden 3 away from mine and to me is a lens worth getting if using MFT cameras
cropped even the tree bark shows up

Gorgeous Rose…

The difficulty on the east coast is caused by the stupid daylight savings in summer. Qld, NT and WA won’t have a bar of it, hence so many time zones in summer.
Broken Hill, even though it is in NSW, is on SA time (it is much nearer Adelaide than Sydney) and for reasons I don’t fully understand Eucla in WA on the border of SA has its own time zone three quarters of an hour ahead of the rest of WA
