It’s a good time to visit Chilli, although not shorts weather, unless you’re doing the Bridlington half marathon, but it gets very busy in the summer.
I was introduced to Bridlington from a very early age when we used to go on the train, but these days it’s well within a days drive and back.
Here’s me on holiday with Mam and Dad in 1951…
And again in 1952
And in 1953 they had enough of me so left me on the rocks at Flamborough hoping that the tide would come in and wash me away…
To be fair, they did give me a boat…
Brill Chilli and such a cool dude…

I feel sorry for my Nan!
She does look rather windswept and forlorn in the background…all very retrospective of course.
Didn’t she get the memo Chilli?
Probably dishing out the Shipphams meat paste sandwiches Foxy! ![]()
This is a photo of Dageus I thought I’d lost, Dunc came across it on a harddrive and I’m chuffed to have it back as it was a favourite of mine. Taken about 7/8 years ago when I always photographed the Aurora’s, these days it has to be a really special one for me to get the camera out. I usually sit at the outside table with a Hot Choccy and watch these days. But I don’t get up, dressed and off to one of the beaches in the middle of the night like I used to do.
Outstanding photos Rox…

What an appealing face!
Took this one at a trip to a bird sanctuary. Didn’t mean to take it, but when he appeared on a fence, I couldn’t resist taking a pic.

I saw a little male Fairywren when I was on holiday I think it was the first one that stopped long enough to get a quick snap. They seem to live in dense foliage.
These bird are tiny and I am afraid I don’t have such a good camera as @Graham but to get one stationary is a stroke of pure luck.
