Photographing at night

I guess this is part of your portfolio on the most photographed garden in Bexhill but where/how do you use this gear on your trips and holidays? Have you examples of that?

Occasionally I use my camera’s built in flash as a fill in flash as intimated by @d00d but generally speaking I haven’t used flash guns for decades.

Quote " I haven’t used flash guns for decades" unquote . And you wonder why the kangaroos won’t pose for you any more? or maybe you wallaby doing something else :movie_camera:

I asked a serious question about your equipment and how or where you use it, how about answering that?

You introduced the topic.

Bruce I only got the bit of kit needed ,ie transmitter, yesterday

taken last night

I was surprised how well this came out with a bit of editing. Only using a 100-300mm lens on my pana G9 camera

You have told us about your flashguns and their synchronisation for years - the one below a couple of years ago.

I am interested in how you use this facility and equipment when you are travelling or on holiday.

Bruce different make of camera and triggers. This is a completely new setup apart from the Nikon SB900 unit.

there are a lot of new members as well who never saw that old post

That may be so but you could tell and show us how you used the old equipment so we have an idea how you intend to use the new stuff.

It is not a trick question I am interested in what you do with your equipment and the results. You show us lots of your equipment but rarely the results of its use, which is surely why you buy it?

Bruce
The best way to find out how to use equipment is by owning it and experiment with it. Every photographer has their own ideas which is the best way under whatever situation they are photographing.

@realspeed Your top photo of the red rose, IMO leaves a lot to be desired.
Do you have portable floodlighting and an ‘umbrella’ diffuser? Your flash really doesn’t do it for me :man_shrugging:
